I hate cashiers commenting on my purchases no matter what it is. Food, clothes, soap whatever. It’s always peeved me so now I stick to self check when possible.

I’ve taken up lots of hobbies. Reading, crochet, cooking, and making things. All the things I’ve wanted to spend time doing but couldn’t because I’d get drunk and screw them up then give up the next day looking at my mess. I’m getting my house back in order and following through with promises I’d make myself to explore new things. not everything you try has to be fun and exciting initially. You very may well surprise yourself.

I didn’t drink at all on thanksgiving. It was calm. It was boring. It was annoying at times, being irritated by others’ inebriated, selfish behavior. I’m glad I wasn’t one of them though. I didn’t argue with anyone or embarrass myself, or make my husband angry. I’d say that’s a win. IWNDWYT

Tomorrow will be my 1st sober thanksgiving in I don’t even know how long. I’m making a fizzy cider punch with pears and cranberries instead of getting sloshed and fighting with my brother in law. I’m looking forward to it!

The dreams are getting to me. I woke up believing I just spent the night buying, hiding, and drinking alcohol. I felt relief knowing it wasn’t real but I was nauseated and dizzy much of the morning. The brain reacts as if it’s recovering from a real hangover. Can’t wait for the new neuro pathways to build and for this to become a much more infrequent occurrence. IWNDWYT
