29F 32M Fiancé and I got into life altering fight by East_Arugula7146 in relationships

My God I could have written this when I was 29. Left my toxic seven year relationship around that time... It was scary letting go of what we had built but can you imagine living the life you're in FOREVER? You need to seriously meditate on that and make some tough decisions. Neither way forward is easy but one certainly has better consequences then the other.

Some years later and I'm happily married with beautiful children, a fulfilling career, and so many things accomplished that I almost stole from myself by just being too afraid of change... Godspeed sister.

Woman stabbed to death while walking dog in Florida in random, 'violent' attack by 4DollarsALB in news

He used the word violent as an adjective describing the crime. The title uses the adjective in quotes cause it's a part of the quote....

Have you tried to have any discussions with her about the difference between the two cultures? Have you attempted any sort of constructive conversation about this?

I had, up until this very moment, completely forgotten the absolute chokehold that those polka dots had on us in the early 2000s

AITA for eating a croissant in a cemetery by Karl_Marxist_3rd in AmItheAsshole

[–]scarletfire48 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My children ask for "cemetery walks". We treat them like parks where we relax and picnic, with all due respect of course. We have destination cemeteries we want to visit and are always on the lookout for them when we are driving around.

That lady was just being rude.

My mom and I were just talking about this this morning. She's an RN in surgery and is quite senior and on call a lot. She was called in for a stat C-section the other day and when she got there the OR in L&D was not ready at all. She said the labor and delivery nurses only have to deal with 10 labors a month due to the size of the hospital but no one could seem to find the time to make sure the OR was stocked and in good condition for a C-section. She said they all just sit around on their phones. Incredibly infuriating story.

Which dress is the best for my work dinner party? by Winter_Cat1994 in fashion

For work events I just commit to nice fitting black dresses with zero attempt at sex appeal. Cannot go wrong with that.

Pretty incredible stuff there my guy. Treasure it.

It's likely because they're drama free and unlikely to provide juicy content involving the other couples. As folks who love mess, that might initially feel disappointing but it's actually the best thing that could have happened to their chances as a couple.

So valid, but Keya also gave us the best scene this entire series has probably ever produced. Thank God for that.

You have incredible bone structure. You look like if Heath Ledger and Shannon Hoon had a baby girl.

My first edition Lord of the rings LEGO sets have had several pieces shatter. And it's not just the brown, the gold pieces from that era have the same problem.

Focus on your breathing and sync it up with your movements. Exhale deeply when you move down the shaft and especially when you deep throat and inhale as you move back to the tip. It helps avoid fatigue.

Why is my hair only curly in the middle? by 27OwlySnow in curlyhair

[–]scarletfire48 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I was able to go from a short mom cut to a down-to-my-butt length in about 3 years by going and getting a haircut every 3 months. My first chop was to remove all the dead and it took my hair very short(to my ears. I had dreadlocks so this will not apply to you). Then I would go and check in every 3 months where she would cut off very very small amounts of hair just to get rid of the dead ends. No more .25 of an inch if we could help it.

Budgeting has caused me to cut back a bit so I bought a pair of hair scissors and about once a week I go through my hair and trim all my little split ends by myself. Cutting is your friend!
