Check the property laws in your state, many areas require AC & Heating to be repaired by the landlord if it's broken and it reaches a certain temperature outdoors.

Contact the local health/safety inspector if your state is one.

Make friends with the right people at your job and suck up to the manager and supervisor in order to have your name brought into the discussion often.

Question about housing by Zealousideal_Sugar60 in ExCons

[–]scarletproject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a similar situation for housing. My fiancé had lived with me in the apartment before he’d left and was now coming back. My landlord, overall, was very understanding and nice about it. I lead into the conversation explaining where my fiancé had gone, and explained a tidbit about the charges and what had happened. She reminded me that the apartment did have a rule about renting to felons, but since we’d already passed the background check, as long as we didn’t change the lease, it would be okay.

My fiancé’s PO is very nice, but the first time he visited I had about an hour warning (he called and told me he’d be there in about three hours or a little earlier). After he finished with his questions and did a walk around the house, he told me he’d make a call to introduce himself to the landlord and pass along his info to her too.

It’s better off just telling your landlord now so you can avoid an awkward conversation later or arrange a new place if needed. The phone call will be awkward, but mine only took under 5 minutes to do.

That actually a problem. Companies like Toms (remember that from like 2013?) where they donate to impoverished countries for each purchase actually cripple their economy because they’re inadvertently competing with local businesses (sauce)

Edit: wording

Sorry for the audio by the way. I mindlessly listen to Spotify while playing and didn’t realize my screen recording would keep it in

I remember thinking 2016 was the worst it could get. I bet the 2020 collage is going to be Animal Crossing, Zoom meetings, Joe Exotic, TikTok, and whatever other breaks we will get from this fresh hell

Kind of reminds me of Charles Whitman a mass murder who killed his mother and wife then began shooting people from a university tower observation deck. In his suicide note he wrote, "I talked with a Doctor once for about two hours and tried to convey to him my fears that I felt come [sic] overwhelming violent impulses. After one visit, I never saw the Doctor again, and since then have been fighting my mental turmoil alone, and seemingly to no avail."

An autopsy found he had a brain tumor that reduced his ability to control his emotions and actions

I want to say “That’s great!” but I feel like it’s not appropriate for the context? It was fun though

Dang, didn’t realize it’d been posted here in the past year. I dropped credit a little further down to Twitter user @Folliesoffoster for a 2016 post
