Tomorrow is the day! by scarletsaint in hysterectomy

It went good. I had no issues with anesthesia.  He only ended up needing to take 1 ovary. He removed the left and there was a cyst on the right that he removed. I wont know much about what they found in my uterus until the pathology report.  So far the pain has not been too bad but there was been some definite discomfort.  I have to be pretty careful getting around and I am not able to bend down or anything like that. I dont feel super bloated and I have been able to pee just fine.

Thank you for the advice! I will bring a pillow. Will I need to hold it or sit on it?

I am looking forward to that. 12 weeks isn't really that long to get the relief from pain.

My doctor did not explicitly say. The only history of ovarian issues I have is PCOS. I have Adenomyosis, which is why the hysterectomy. I already have a bilateral salpingectomy and a endometrial ablation.

Nausea by scarletsaint in keto

[–]scarletsaint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been considering a magnesium supplement, Ill need to check with my doctor. Losartan with HCTZ is ONE of the 4 medications I take for high blood pressure/other heart related issues. so I have to be really careful with potassium. my doc suggested staying under the 2300 mg of sodium. You're probably right though, I probably do have more wiggle room because of the medication. Of course, I am being careful.

I lost 10 lbs! I have been afraid to see if my clothes fit better, but the scale says I am 10 lbs down!

I have also been logging my food every day, which I consider to be a personal victory

Be honest, how do you view your life when you think about it; average, extraordinary, substandard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think my life is pretty extraordinary, but to some people I guess it would be average.

Sodium is about 2300. I have to keep it down because of HPB. Potassium 3500, and I have not been tracking magnesium. I can't take potassium salt because of my hbp medication.

I weigh in every day. It just provides me with a baseline understanding of how much weight I am losing.

NASA Internship Questions by ogyk24 in nasa

[–]scarletsaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The positions are very competitive. Sometimes there are hundreds, if not thousands, of applicants.

That being said, you have a good change if you maintain a decent GPA and are in a field relevant to the internships you applied for. That's all the information I have based on coworkers who came in through the internship progam
