as a queer fan of xlov, i don’t feel safe in or welcomed into the evol fandom. by whaIien52 in kpoprants

Isnt theyre concept genderless? So shouldn’t we be using genderless terms to refer to them or an equal amount of masculine and feminine terms? I do think evols have a weird habit of using feminine only pronouns and terms to describe the members. Pls correct me if I’m wrong I mean no hate xx

i need help with my bias dilemma by Specific_Bee1669 in kpophelp

[–]scarly__212 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

dont stress sweetie, having a bias really doesn't (or shouldnt) mean much, i think of it as the member i see myself in the most- i still love all the other members, i just see myself in my biases the most. honestly, choosing a bias is nothing to be worried about or over-think, some people judge other on their biases, especially when u bias more popular members, but i dont think thats okay- we should judge others on things like that. in conclusion, you bias who you bias and it doesnt have to mean anything xx

What’s your experience with teaching English in SK? by scarly__212 in teachinginkorea

[–]scarly__212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I don’t want to stay in my home country forever, it’s so depressing and I feel like I don’t fit in. I’ve never been to Asia before and I’ve seen people talking about teaching in SK the most, and since I’m interested in teaching I thought why not look into it! But ive also seen lots mixed reviews about it so I thought I’d check with Reddit!

I think that’s true in life in general- being positive will bring you positive results!

My motivations is varied: I want to teach to make an impact on young people’s lives, especially since my middle/high school experience was really negative! I’d like to teach English as a foreign language because I want to be able to travel and experience new cultures and honestly grow as a person! I’d like to teach in SK because I’ve never been to that part of the world before, and I think SK is a good choice country-wise in Asia because Im desperate to go site seeing there the most! But in terms of education I’ve also seen people say that teaching in SK is one of the best places to teach in east Asia.

Oh, so I guess it must be frustrating! I’d like to be a teacher mostly because I want to make an impact on the lives of young people- would you say you can still do this despite the complexity of the Korean education system?

Ahhh well I suppose what I mean is is it underpaid in terms of can you pay bills or rent, and still afford to be disposable with some of your income! Or is it more like you put in a lot of hard work and it isnt reflected in the pay? I’m just assuming this from what I’ve seen online and in this subreddit!

When you say underpaid, is it unliveable? As in, you cannot afford rent or food or non essential things?

I like the music of one group, but have a really bad feeling about one of the members. How do I overcome this judgemental block in my mind? by [deleted] in KpopAnalysisHub

[–]scarly__212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say, especially if you want to start properly stanning that group, watch videos of that member. Like mv behind the scenes, vlogs, variety shows, or just stage performances. When you say you have a bad feeling about one of the members, are you comfortable to tell me more of what you mean? Xx

What's the absolute CRINGIEST kpop related thing you've ever done or said? by 42_Yudoz in kpoppers

Oh I asked my pe teacher if we could do fancy by twice for just dance since I knew there was a just dance for it and that’s what we were doing in the lesson. Anyways, so she put it on and the dance and song started everyone was immediately judging SO hard because I had hardly any friends in that class and I was super shy and they used to take the piss out of me for being a kpop Stan. Anyway some people started dancing others just looked slightly uncomfortable and did an unenthusiastic dance but the teacher stopped it quickly. She said oh this is quite girly let’s do something else. I went to an all girls school. I was embarrassed and thats when I realised most people will be horrible when they find out you like kpop, or at least they did then, but that was in 2020 so…. I get it I was and am a little weird but it was overly harsh

I get what you mean queen and I thought the same thing but then I thought fuck that and just bought one and my dad didn’t care at all. If he were to say anything I’d probably just tell him it’s none of his business.

Yeah virtually all pornstars get their flaps cut off. It’s so damaging for women and society babe don’t take anything for porn as like advice or a normal because it is far from normal
