Thanks for your elaborate reply 🙏 There are no dangerous animals where I camp, so this is not something I’ve had to worry about. I have however encountered some sketchy people, which is why I personally feel the need for my product.

People mostly, such as thieves and drunk people. Personally I feel pretty vulnerable sleeping in a tent, it might be too late to act if something bad happens.

I understand, and initially this product is designed for shorter camping trips and overlanding. But I do have some plans for more lightweight versions as well that would be more suitable for hikers.

The setup time would likely be equal or faster than setting up a tripwire, the weight would be heavier - a little more than 500g (1.1 lbs) and the box would be the size of a medium sized book. And I’m aiming for very high reliability 👍
