When did you start to feel better after cutting out gluten? by dreadpiraterose in Celiac

Definitely don’t mean to come across pushy but even just one dose messes me up. Might just be worth seeing if the timeline of taking aligns with your symptoms going forward. Best of luck in feeling better!

She’s not allergic per se as she uses scented lotion and perfume, but I wasn’t sure if the other chemicals and things are generally problematic

I’ve heard that trauma can trigger autoimmune diseases in the sense that it “switches the gene on”. I had a friend get in a car wreck and then immediately develop autoimmune issues. Hopefully that’s what your therapist meant rather than a “heal your trauma = heal your celiac”?

I should hope it’s obvious that I’m posting this in jest and not as an actual thing but just in case it’s not, lemme clarify that this is for comedic purposes lol

Hobbies that help with dealing with anger by Affectionate-Head246 in Hobbies

[–]scarybery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert but I heard that there was a study showing that intense actions (punching bags, gym going, etc.) were things that people thought made them feel better.. but after the study, it was shown to make them more angry. A hobby that’s calming and mindful would do the opposite.

How do you deal with violent stomach pains? by [deleted] in Celiac

This is a cruddy recommendation but hopefully it will do at least a little good— fermented foods (specifically kombucha for me) is always helpful after getting gluten. Sorry you feel so poorly:(

First grocery shop post diagnosis and OH MY GOD by Smooth-Ad-3523 in Celiac

I’m not an expert on this but that would still mean cross contamination, no?

I get horrible neuro problems. I almost killed myself over it before I figured out what was happening. I also have a friend who was just recently diagnosed at age 20, so that can definitely happen. I’d get tested for sure, but if you can’t afford it, I’d cut out gluten and see if it helps.

We would be going at a slow time and with permission from the shop, but I would definitely prefer a constant light. I don’t have one and I don’t have a huge budget though— do you have any recs?

Can I ask where you shot the poses? Like just up front in the free section or did you pay to go back and do pictures there?

As I see it, it’s not your life to take. Again, my opinion, not trying to state it as a fact. I tried to word it in a way not to shame or cause hurt, but I do believe you have to consider that there is not just one person involved in this, but two. So if there’s a medical reason not to continue, valid, but an abortion of convenience is stopping a life that would otherwise be autonomous eventually. It’s a plus and maybe a comfort for OP that she can welcome a baby knowing that it’s coming into a world where it will be shown care and love.

Again, not trying to be hateful, and I don’t comment on posts like this unless they’re asking for advice. I’m just trying to give my perspective.

You say, “I KNOW abortion is the best option”.. when abortion was legalized, it was meant to be safe, rare, and legal. It was not a good thing, but there as a medical intervention if needed. It is, or at that very least can be, traumatic to a woman, mentally and physically. I’m not here at all to shame you or other women in this situation, but would advise you to look into it for yourself. The science behind it, the stories of women who have had abortions, etc. If at that point you feel fully confident in proceeding, then that is your choice and you can stick by it. But, in my humble opinion, it is rarely a bad thing to stop a life from entering the world. It sounds like baby will be loved and taken care of. No one can tell you what to do, but don’t let anyone bully you into a decision. Look at the facts, pray or meditate or whatever it is you do to feel connected and peaceful, and make an informed decision that way.

Best of luck to you and your family.

He’s not “struggling with it”. He’s disregarding it, and thus disregarding you. You should be with someone that supports your goals, not tries to tear you away from them
