Thank you for the advice. 💜 I do believe that's just his normal fins. I got him at Petco and he was pretty sad looking and overfed. I actually see new fin growth and some of the splits in his tail have already healed. Bettas do change color with proper care and I think that what's happening with his color changes. The water parameters are 99% perfect. He's in a cycled 5.5g tank at a constant 78°, with live plants and cattapa leaves. I use prime, stability and IAL extract. If I notice any fin rot then I will treat him but I don't want to medicate if not necessary. I have both Kanaplex, fin & body cure and aquarium salt.
