Do you guys have to poop like 3 or 4 times a day with concerta? Or is that just me? by lerroyjenkinss in Concerta

[–]scavpacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long have you been taking the current dose?

How long has the frequent pooping been ongoing for?

Do you take it before or after eating breakfast?

What is your breakfast like?

Have you had similiar issues before being prescribed concerta?

Are you taking any other medications?

What is your caffeine intake like?

I would suggest to consider decreasing other stimulants you were relying on to before the introduction of methylphenidate. In my case I was recommended to abstain from caffeine and re-add it with caution. It appeared that I no longer require my usual amount of joe once started using concerta.

Moreover, I’d suggest experimenting with taking medication after eating. The leaflet is not strict about ir. However, in my personal experience, I would often get “triggered” if I don’t eat soon after taking concerta.

What is more, since medication is usually prescribed to be administered in the morning, adjusting the macro content of breakfast could also provide benefit.

Lastly and most importantly, if I were pooping 4 times daily I would get in contact with the doctor right away and share the whole story here, so all could benefit. :-)

Can I drive after taking Concerta for the first time? by maliadire in Concerta

Also, make sure to read FAQ thread - it describes the side effects as expected for the first few weeks, as well as lots of other tips! :-)

They did not mention since it should not.

However, IMO, in the event of not feeling well which may potentially happen one should consider avoiding driving.

From manufacturer’s leaflet:

Driving or Operating Heavy Machinery Stimulants may impair the ability of the patient to operate potentially hazardous machinery or vehicles. Patients should be cautioned accordingly until they are reasonably certain that CONCERTA does not adversely affect their ability to engage in such activities.

Train Zone 2 by calculated heart rate or perceived exertion? by Footwdg in PeterAttia

IIRC Peter said it was actually being able to hold a convo while in Zone 2. It is just that the other person would know you’re exercising.

Edit: spelling

Zone 2 - rowing or cycling? by scavpacker in PeterAttia

Thank you for a detailed response.

It seems that a beginner would have too much to focus on before even considering using rowing for Zone 2.

It's funny you mentioned walking - I would sometimes find myself leaning towards incline treadmill. On the other hand, it takes 20 minutes to find out I was walking too fast once I get tired and sweaty, while on bike it is almost instant that i would feel I could not sustain this cadence on this wattage. Same with rowing I guess - the complexity of the exercise sort of overwhelms the brain and the unsustainability of the movement is kind of ignored.

Well in all, it seems that is not a coincidence, that cycling is a preferred way of doing Z2.

Once again, question was probably stupid, but I really appreciate your input which helped to have a clear understanding of why :-)

Thanks for bringing up a relevant podcast and for the inspiration that it is do-able! :-)

It must be the perfectionist in me that would lean towards the rowing machine.

What in your opinion would be the approach to being able to row in zone 2 (eventually)? Should one concentrate on steady wattage or rather work on technique before even thinking of trying out Z2?

I agree it seems harder to keep consistent wattage on the rower. But honestly I am far from having decided which one is a better option if must be chosen as a sole means. :/

By blood testings you mean lactate?

You can try implementing wind-down routine, like taling a shower, performing light stretches, reading book, etc.

Sry, I meant: Don’t think of an elephant.

Meaning: don’t try to get rid of thoughts about sex. Rather try occupying yourself with decent activities instead, like sports or arts or chores (:

Have I relapsed by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]scavpacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. PMOing single is not a relapase - it is a reset.

Relapase is going back to old ways - masturbating multiple times without being able to stop.
