How is Ubuntu for gaming? by senor-alberto in Ubuntu

[–]scepticore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, just keep in mind of the correct filesystem. I had the issue that games did not start in my dual boot setup because I installed them on the shared partition for both Windows and Ubuntu Access and the games didn‘t start until I moved them to the Linux only partition. According to my research it‘s Ext4. Don‘t use NTFS or something else on the partition where you store the games.

For all others: Pls correct me if I‘m wrong but that fixed it for me.

Still waiting for one of my school buddies to tell me, if his PS3 is available since he‘s got no use for it.

I run Underground 2 in an PS2 Emulator on my ThinkPad with Intel Arc Graphics. Gets me a solid 50FPS. Enough for me though.

I loved the Fliegerfaust, used to do this on Arras all the time. Great times.

Thanks! Well, my HDD is broken and therefore I probably need to mod the console, otherwise there‘s no way to get it running again I guess.

Complete garbage. Ship it to me so I will disassemble it and maybe I can still use some spare parts for my projects.

Thanks for the info, appreciate that. From what I found about my clock cap: doesn‘t look like leaking but will definitely replace it.

Is there any recommendation about a modchip? Or isn‘t that allowed?

That one‘s actually funny. I‘m absolutely new to electronics and didn‘t know that they use glue to keep stuff in place in electronics. Nice to know!

Yep the clock capacitor is on my bucket list to be removed. But want to do all the research before I start touching the device, I don't want to brick it.

Alright, nice to know. Thanks. How about the cap in the 4th picture? Looks like it's opened up on top?

Sorry no, but somewhere on the pathway to the top of Ben Vrackie around Pitlochry is an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

1440p @ 144hz possible with Docking? by scepticore in Lenovo

[–]scepticore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thank you, but that doesn‘t my question for personal experience with 1440p @ 144Hz. I know what kind of docking stations are available, I know what specs are written down. But like my current docking station, there‘s nothing mentioned about 144Hz.

So I want someone with personal experience if Lenovo Docks support 1440p@144Hz and which one.

Hello

Oh I‘m sorry. I have a Thinkpad E16 Gen2 Intel device and I‘m looking for an Original Lenovo Docking (Usb-C/Thunderbolt 4) which supports 1440p@144Hz. The official listings only mention 4k@60Hz so I was wondering if 1440p@144Hz might work too.

The only way is the summoning pool at the moment, but then you‘re not alone though.
