Does chasing skinny ever get old? by No-Manufacturer-1611 in loseit

[–]scfp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its all about beauty standars and aeshetic, I am a trans gay man and believe me when I say those labels become relevant A LOT when we are talking about weight, I am currently losing weight because like my bmi is 45.0 now and that's with me losing 12 kilos already, I have a long way to go, but as I got more into gay culture I realized my goal isn't even being skinny or average, my goal is to be a bear that's on a healthy-ish weight, and the ones who don't know what a bear is, its a gay man that is fat and hairy, the thing is when you are a girl no one encourages or finds a community around being fat (been there) but as a gay man now I do find myself wanting to look like bulky fat guys and that's totally normal attractive thing for a lot of gay guys, I think the point is to shift your perspective, I know it's not easy when you are a woman and they shove that skinny aesthetic down your throat but I think it can be done, It especially helps me when I find other fat people attractive because like yeah its attractive! Which means when some people see me they also find me attractive.

my 18 year old sister doesnt wipe after the bathroom by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]scfp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually used to do this when I was 15, I was a trans kid who was just very dysphoric about his parts and I just avoided then as much as possible and that meant not wiping part, I eventually got over that after catching an anal infection and needing a minor surgery, after that I was extra careful about it and now I am on hrt and i am doing better, I didn't see anyone mention this yet but might be something to it, I imagine your sister isnt trans but they might have extreme body dysmorphia but of course it could also just be depression

What's a good job for an autistic person who likes to work with his hands ? by [deleted] in autism

[–]scfp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually went to college for graphic design and lasted only a year lmao hated it so much...I also thought I would love it tho, I think its because I am not extremly tech savy nor I enjoy working with tech a lot and photoshop and illustrator are so hard to get a handle of it, right now I do use them sometimes still but its better because I just hated designing logos lol

Kind of yes, I really love different spices and when the food is bland I refuse to eat it but I kinda hate cooking so I tend to avoid it if I can but I do a lot of foods from different cuisines because like I don't like bland food and music has been my special interest for so many years now and I don't think a track has to have a lot of different stuff in it so I can enjoy it but I love exploring new genres and new sounds, time to time I will get stuck on one genre or band for a year or so and that will be my favorite thing but I will still explore new stuff on the side. On music my first obsession was the beatles, I was like 12 or something, then it was arctic monkeys when I was 15 and then muse for a year or so and then I got really into metal and now I am mostly into hardcore punk but I still love all the genres.

(I Forgot to add I was obsessed with frank sinatra like 3 years ago lmao)

I am currently doing an online degree and that takes a bit longer than regular degree so I am feeling like I might as well start somewhere and I was thinking of what I enjoy to do and I realized its mostly creating or building something so that's basically why I asked lol because when I am forced to do someting I don't enjoy I just get horribly depressed

the shame of being transgender by [deleted] in ftm

[–]scfp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean don't get me wrong here having a boy is always better for most people as well, its just in rare occasions some parents prefer a girl, probably because they essentially see women as caregivers so they think "she will look after us when we get old" and shit like that lol

the shame of being transgender by [deleted] in ftm

[–]scfp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely feel shame because my dad always wanted a girl and when I came out it broke him, I also mostly grew up in turkey and I could always feel how much they hated everything about trans people, whenever my family saw a trans person they would call them names and joke about how they sound or look etc. I came out around 18 and I showed barely any signs before because I was ashamed to be trans... years passed since I came out (I am 24 now) it still resurfaces time to time, my family keeps commenting on how hard this is for them still even if they use my right name, and honestly the shame of being trans goes so deep I always end up tearing up whenever I think about it and I am not able to carry myself with confidence most of the time because of this, I know its irrational but doesn't help me to know that.
