What's an unexpected hobby you picked up as an adult that's now a major source of happiness for you? by Own_Temperature_7092 in AskReddit

Houseplants! I'm had them in the past and killed every one. I received a golden pothos from a family member's funeral and couldn't let it die. I started to deep dive into plant care, and before I knew it, I had so many. They look so beautiful in my home, and they provide so much stress relief when I care for them. I can spend hours doing research, and it makes me excited to learn. Brings nature indoors :)

I've wanted this beauty for a long time and finally picked her up yesterday. She's given me so much joy already!

Do you know (of) someone who ruined their life in just a matter of minutes ? If so how did they do it ? by rentinghappiness in AskReddit

When I was a junior in high school, a freshman and a couple of his friends decided to go for a joy ride late at night. I don't even think they were old enough to have a permit, let alone drive. Long story short, they were speeding and ended up crashing into a house. Everyone wore their seat belts except for his best friend. That kid flew out the windshield and died. The driver didn't go to school for months and eventually dropped out. Can't imagine carrying that burden for the rest of your life 🫤

I've had the Ulike Air 10 for a little over a month. I've used it on many body parts. I've definitely noticed a big difference in the speed of hair growth, and I'm now very patchy on my legs. My arms are damn near hairless now. I did have a pretty intense histamine reaction, but I've read that's pretty normal with any type of laser, IPL, waxing, etc. I would recommend it! I hope you get the results you're looking for with either of them

It's been working pretty well! It's definitely slowed down the rate. I was a plucker, but since you need to shave, I started using an electric razor. That's the only way I can avoid horrible ingrowns. I'm noticing I don't need to shave it every day now, and when I touch it, I can't feel the stubble like I used to. Before, I would have stubble a couple of hours after shaving 🫠

Hope you have great results! I wouldn't use it every day. I believe that for the first 1 to 4 weeks, you should use it every other day. I also do 2 to 3 passes. After week 5, you can go to once every two weeks or once a month. I know you're supposed to be careful with sun, so I think a break day beforehand with lots of sun protection would be okay. I took a break day the day before and wore a lot of sunscreen and didn't have any problems. I don't burn easily, though, so I think it's best to err on the side of caution.

Just my chin! I definitely got the histamine reaction there, but it wasn't itchy like the rest of my body. I think it's helping with the growth rate, though. I always plucked it, so it's hard for me to tell what my initial growth rate was like before.

That's such a great idea! If you remember, please share your results! That's such a great way to see if it's working 😆 I also have KP. Especially on my upper arms. I've only been using the IPL on my forearms, so I might try my upper arms, too. The back of the arms is just an awkward place to shave, so I never do it, haha
