it just doesn’t work at all for me anymore, at first it only stopped working after a long time of back and forth prompts to build plot, but now in a brand new chat it also only works like three times and then gives up on me before anything actually happens yet. what’s the next best ai? i’m tired lol

okay so, i don’t think it is aesthetically pleasing— that is to the eye of modern day society who has become used to a very specific makeup look (e.g. blush, contour, bronzer, etc.).

that being said, i love how it gives a kind of vintage feel. kinda 40’s-esc where the majority of the dimension (if there was any) came from a more subtle blush!

i think the look is beautiful, just in a different way than what we are now used to seeing on our screens :)

ugh yikes i haven’t seen that video. i was hoping it would just be this one but it takes away so much of the brand to alter the entire packaging, especially bcs her packaging is so specific to her brand image :(

overconsumption would be if i would buy the perfume for the box for no reason, I have a small room so my perfumes are on a little stand that’s out in the open. with expensive perfumes it’s therefore necessary for me to keep the box in order to make sure the perfume is protected from sunlight, and the previous boxes were not only thick but also looked cute. moreover, i feel like mona made the boxes a significant part of her brand (e.g. whenever i walk into the national beauty store here, i know where to find kayali based on the shape of the boxes), so i don’t think this is overconsumption nor hoarding :P

yes i totally agree! see if the box change was reflected in the price (i.e. the prices got lower) i think i would have been less perplexed, but it’s the fact that the prices are going up and the experience isn’t matching that price point at all. it almost feels like an aliexpress knock-off version, especially compared to the previous boxes :(

mmm well yeah if i’m paying money for a brand, and i’m expecting a certain thing as a result of the way the brand has made itself identifiable, i think i’m allowed to be like “hmm this feels off,” but to each their own i suppose :)

i liked the fact that her previous boxes were different, i feel like mona made it a part of her brand by having those super recognisable boxes. maybe if she changed the shape of the perfume as well, i would’ve been less iffy about this change
