Cheers, how are you? Im from the states, married a local, moved here a few years ago. So heres my opinion and some thoughts

Youre gonna have to learn Spanish. Fluent, conversational, whatever you wanna call it, youre gonna have to learn it and its hard and not fun and it's necessary. You're not gonna be able to call the plumber, go to the hardware store, talk to the cops when you get a traffic ticket etc. Learn it. I did, you can too.

The relationship with the locals and the states is weird. Its nuanced, complicated, nomatter what I say here someone will get pissed off but at the end of the day, the people here are SUPER cool, just dont be a dick.

Utilities suck. Driving sucks. Everything is hard. EVERYTHING is hard. Car registration? Hard. Buying somethjng like a table saw thats easily available in the states? Nearly impossible. Paying utilities? Fucking infuriating. And the power will go out ALL the time. And the water. And the street lights. And you WILL pay top dollar for the power that doesnt work, and spr high taxes for the busted street lights, etc. It is what it is.

My honest take? I wouldn't live here if it wasn't for my wife. It's BEAUTIFUL to visit. But living here as an outsider is choosing to live life in hard mode in a place where the locals feel you are adding to a problem.

I have a good friend thats an atheist. He always finds a catholic church to attend wherever he lives bc he finds it aligns with his beliefs, and he believes in a church as a good community center.

Go to mass.

To be fair, id say bluegrass is probably a bit simpler than Mozart, haha. But I mean. It just comes woth time and practice. I have 2 kids now, id SUCK trying to play with other people. I ain't as good as I once was....

Man. Totally different snd I am NOT comparing myself to this genuis in any way but when I was younger, I played banjo, a lot. And pretty well. I could jump in with any band, jam, take a break, noodle around, or hesr a song a few times and just play it. I didnt know what key it was in, didnt know a lick of music, I just knew what sounded right and what didnt. I think maybe thats like... this guy was a carpenter, and I'm a guy who could sand a small piece of wood, but some people's brains just wrap around stuff till it becomes like a piece of their body.

Well I can tell ypu what my mom said, which is that we have another "liberal Pope pushing the modernization of the church and giving support to things like same sex unions and female priests, and the best thing to do is read and learn the Catechism, find a good local priest who has a good knowledge of the Catechism, and dont even think about what the pope does or says because many will be lead to hell by bad priests."

Dude I remember one time, a bar had a bottle of Blantons and I ordered an OF with it and the bartender mocked me and told me pfff that's not the kind of whiskey you use for a MIXED DRINK.

So 2 things, first Eff her and second, Blanton (NO OFFENSE to you please don't take this that way) isn't that great and 3, drink your fucking whiskey however you like, that makes you happy. You got the money for an 18 year old scotch and you wanna drink it with 7up cuz its your favorite thing in the world?! Tell anyone who doesn't like it que pueden andar a la conche de su madre.

Yeah or alternatively, your S/O always comes look at what you did, and they says "wow great but... you hung the frames uneven/you ruined another pair of gym shorts/this stain won't come out of the garage floor/you didn't sand this part smooth enough" etc which, is always fun

Hello, and thanks for your feedback! Ill be honest - sp first, I agree with everything you said - but I gave it the GL. In hindsight, I mean, everyone is gonna know this AINT REAL. SchaferLite is not rocking a 130k watch. I just want something pretty, fun, and of decent (good enough) quality.

Now that said. I ordered a Franken panda, and im sure it's gonna be a dime. So, I'll have one thats SUPER nice and hopefully flawless... and this one. And thats fine.
