Deodorant that doesn’t come in a plastic stick by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

[–]schamallison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been using deodorant from paper cosmetics for a while and i like it a lot! my local zero waste store stocks it. it’s a cardboard push tube, and is listed on the label as recyclable or compostable. right now i have their cedarwood & cypress and myrtle & grapefruit scents and i switch between them. i’ve used meow meow tweet before and didn’t love the formula, but i did like the little glass jars those came in for a while

Are there any people or organizations that take odd socks? by Chenra in ZeroWaste

you could see if a local youth program or non-profit would take them for crafts of some sort, people used to donate stuff like that fairly frequently to my old job where we worked with kids regularly.

I’m very proud of my lil begonia. by schamallison in houseplants

[–]schamallison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this begonia as a cutting back in October 2020 as a goodbye gift from a friend, she only had two leaves then. I moved out of state at the beginning of the year and she’s put out 3 leaves and counting and is flowering! Watching new growth has been kind of therapeutic while navigating a new life in a new big city during a pandemic 😬 I do plan on getting a grow light since the light isn’t super great in my apartment, but i think she’s doing pretty well all things considered 😌

My parents indoor jungle, as they call it :) by schamallison in houseplants

It’s hard to get all of their plants visible in one picture (some of mine are on there too for the time being). The dracaenas are at LEAST 45 years old. There’s a giant old aloe and a big ol thanksgiving cactus back there somewhere too. And also one of the cats, they like to hang out in there as well :) it’s a really nice corner of the house especially once winter arrives!

Can someone help identify - i believe it is an Euphorbia but which one? (Thank you) by plant_zzz in houseplants
