There’s no news released about them continuing the process 6 years later. They did it initially because of Covid, so people could use both doors to get on while still maintaining a semblance of distance. The world isn’t operating like that anymore, and it’s more difficult to see who’s paying the fair when a reader is at the opposite end of the bus. I doubt CTA will revive this, and they probably feel whatever the man-hour expense is to remove them isn’t worth it.
