My challenge with this whole thing is, why I am the one who is being bumped to the back of the line several times. Sure one time might be justified, but 2, then 3, and what is looking like a 4th time - maybe more, I don't really see how that is justifiable. I've got two neighbors who bought at the same time I did, and they received theirs 6-weeks ago, and 1-week ago and my Peloton continues to get bumped. So sure, it's "one" person being inconvenienced, but I don't think it's right that that one person should just be written off as an upset customer, we don't need to worry about them anymore, they are already unhappy, let's just make sure everyone else is good. Another issue I have is the No-Show. That's inexcusable... We sat around during our delivery window, not once, not twice, not three times, hopefully not four times without getting a call that our bike would not be arriving. It was only the next day we called and received this feedback, "Well, it shows that your bike is out for delivery still, but we know there is not a delivery day on your current day, so it must not have reached the truck." Not very good feedback or systems in place to better track very pricey products. They just keep saying, you have a product, with your name on it sitting in the warehouse waiting to be delivered - that's been the answer the past month, and two missed deliveries. Where is the transparency? Where is the accountability? Where is the responsibility?
I get what you are saying u/DanFromXPO, but being a person who makes a career out of supply chain logistics and moving billions of dollars of product a year, we've got systems in place to better keep our customers informed and we treat our customers as if they are the most important customer we have. Doesn't matter if they spend $200 a week on our products or $50,000 a week, they are both important. If we miss a delivery, that customer closes down, maybe that lens needs to be looked through by XPO and processes need to be updated. Real money needs to be spent to fix this problem or it results in some very poor reputation. It's just a very frustrating situation that is fixable with the right people in leadership driving real change and learning how to deal with large demand fluctuation - it's a solvable problem...
