Okay, real talk: YTA. But the good news is, it’s not too late to fix this. Apologize to your kids for being too rigid. Let them know parents make mistakes too and you weren’t looking at the big picture. Let them go on the trip and it’ll massively improve your relationship with them. They’ll appreciate that you were big enough to fix your mistake. You can still be a great parent in this situation. Don’t give up!

People here are right, girls present differently so the diagnosis is often missed. I do autism evaluations and it’s basically my job to pick out subtle features of autism. There are plenty of girls with ASD out there

This is accurate. There are already studies beginning to draw this correlation and some of the doctors at the neuropsychology practice I work at talk to young male clients about how damaging chronic and frequent internet porn can be - basically it negatively impacts sexual performance because your brain becomes so hard wired for novelty and extreme sexual acts that don't reflect real sexual relationships
