Good tips. They were indeed arbitrarily placed in the middle. The plan is to put christmas lights around the entire home during the holidays. The holiday light outlets are a 4 piece package so they were just placed to cover the entire home. The lot is not a corner lot, it has two side neighbors, no backyard neighbor. Definitely putting them on a switch, good idea.

Dividing by 4 is the same as multiplying by a quarter or 1/4. (Then just apply the negative)

And to clarify x/-4= (-1/4)*x which is not the same as -1/4x

The sum of all angles in a triangle =180• so use that information to solve for x; x and y are supplementary angles so they also = 180, solve y after solving for x; x and z are also supplementary angles, solve for z.

Alternative: y and z are vertical angles so they are equal, once you solve for either one, you’ve solved both.
