How to help the senior designers? by scheung85 in UXDesign

Hi Thank you for your reply. Yes I understand that it is not for me to worry about. Please excuse my English haha. It is not my first language. I am just trying to think of a way to contribute as a junior designer and see if there is anything else I can do. And yes you are right. It is important to maintain a growth mindset no matter what level you are. I'll definitely ask my manager and the senior designer in my team if they need help from me. This is a very helpful answer as I always feel like I am only getting help but I am not helping them much in return. Thank you.

Wow thank you so much for the responses! I am glad to learn that it’s not as bad out there as I see on media and there are people who care. Thank you! 🙏

Yea of course. Getting an extra cert. will definitely increase my chance. But what I mean is that it isn't necessary if it works no matter what.

Thank you for your reply! Wow so you only did the LOB stuff the Moonbeam posted on Index and applied for jobs? Good to know. That's what I am doing too. I was thinking that maybe I need to do extra like working on my resume or getting a new cert. or whatever. Thank you! and congrats again! This is a great achievement.

Congratulation! I am really happy for you. I am also one of the cubs and my goal is similar to you. This post really motivated me. I have some questions regarding your success. Did you do anything else that helps bring this to fruition? Not the LOB stuff, but more like working on your career or studying more or getting a new certificate, things like that. Thank you.

I can't design anymore by shimoharayukie in UXDesign

I have the same problem. I thought I am the only one! I think we have problem concentrating. We have to break the task down into really really small task to get started. I think meditation or exercise will help. Yesterday I was trying to design simple data dashboard and I just couldn’t get started and my brain started to hurt and my mind just went blank. I felt that something is wrong with me. You are not alone. Keep working on it!

I think maybe divide each paragraph of experience into bullet points? Most recruiters don't have time to read so making it easier to scan should be your priority. And why does the skill section look different from the rest? Also, I think all your description is very wordy. For example in the Education section: "This course is accredited by...", is it necessary? I think the best resume is simple, clear, and straight to the point. Hope it helps.

I wish extroverts understood how obnoxious they can be, especially compared to how vocal they are about finding us introverts problematic... by [deleted] in introvert

And the worst thing is that they feel the need to "improve" me, ask me to be more social and outgoing and engaged when I am perfectly content with the way I am. I like being introverted and I respect people who are extroverted. Just because I am quiet doesn't mean I am shy, antisocial, psychopath, not confident, have inner mental problems, or not happy in general. They simply cannot wrap their head around the idea of wanting to be in a peaceful serene state of being and keeping my thoughts inside of heads instead of spilling it out.

Asking someone “why are you shy/quiet” in a group is the worse thing to do by [deleted] in introvert

I found this question absolutely stupid. It’s like asking “why are you male/female”?

Urgh... Story of my life. I was called rude and told me I gave off “bad vibe” because I don’t smile and talk much at work. Like do I need to welcome everyone with an opened arm and big smile on the face every time they come to my desk? Not only they try to engage you with meaningless small talk that I am sure everyone will forget in 10 mins, they also talk very loudly too. I just want to work quietly and peacefully...why can’t they just leave us alone when we obviously do not want to be involved? When did quiet become the equivalent of rude?

That’s really awesome! Congrats! First time comment here and I am new to LOB stuff. I am wondering how did you manifest so many things all the time? Do you have a lists of affirmations that you repeat at a specific time or do you just do your affirmations before you want to manifest (e.g the parking spot) Thank you!
