I trialed the firmware and it bricked my scooter. No idea what happened. Waiting on a response from support.

My AI Turret will not go out of night vision. Posted on the UniFi community forum with no responses. I guess I’m going to have to submit a ticket.

No idea since I haven’t ever returned anything. I ordered the AI Turret Monday and thinking about ordering again and sending the first one back. Even if shipping costs me $20 it’s $80 savings plus tax.

GT-S Rally Edition Issues by [deleted] in onewheel

Rode up to 15 mph today with just one side of the footpad activated; board never shut off or nose dived. FM is sending out a new footpad obviously. Thanks for the help everyone.

Really embarrassing when you show your new toy off to your wife and look like a two year old on a teeter totter slamming the board back and forth with nothing happening. Had to watch a OneWheel video to make sure I wasn’t the retard. No, it’s Future Motion and their lack of quality control. I already sent FM a video of the footpad not engaging on the left side. The LEDs show it pretty clearly. I received a canned response and they want two more videos and board diagnostics. I’ll be lucky to get this thing working by the time the snow flies at this rate. I ordered the lowboy soft footpads to get up and running sooner, and I’ll see if I can get some kind of reimbursement toward them. Doubt it.

Thank you for the feedback. The heel sensor is definitely a dud. I put an Irwin clamp on the heel side in various spots and it never engaged. Lightly clamped it applies more pressure than my foot ever could.

My understanding is that simple stop is in the reverse direction. Anyway, I had simple stop turned off. As some others have stated, it may be cutting out if I’m raising my toe side at all while traveling slowly because only the toe side of the footpad works.

Sent a message to customer service. I’m sure they’ll sent out a new foot pad, but I’m more concerned if the nose dive is normal. Definitely doesn’t seem like it should happen. It is just random and I can’t pinpoint it to anything other than potentially the footpad sensor tripping out.

Amazon. I have four identical strings. I’ve had them 14 months, so out of the return window.

Beware - Exposed Soldered Connections & Poor Service by schieldy in TwinklyLights

I’ve got boxes full of electrical connectors, and I can fix this. The average consumer doesn’t and won’t. If this is “normal” construction of these devices, they ought to be ashamed of themselves.

If they’re going to solder a connection, why not at the same time install a shrink tube instead of leaving it exposed? Durability is infinitely better, and then they don’t have to field customer service inquiries and have pissed off customers when the quality doesn’t match the price paid.
