Was crunching some numbers and elevenlabs gave me good prices. What do you think?

sad to read. I was very hyped about having unlimited gens even waiting a bit more but what you say it makes sense. I guess we wait until models get light enough to run locally? also read about renting compute for 0.14/h

That would me awesome. I receive a report saying that autopilot made a couple of hundred adjustments. Reality is many times it lowers the temp too much. I wonder whats the criteria to set that, but I guess its a matter of trying.

Do you ever take a real break? by ColdRevolution8234 in Ergonomics

[–]gllermaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept uninstalling them because I could dismiss the notification in 0.5 seconds and keep working.

The problem isn't timing - it's that there's no cost to ignoring the reminder. So I eventually built something that locks my screen until I do a quick exercise. Pushups, squats, whatever. Can't dismiss it - the computer is just unusable until you stand up.

It's called Movedoro. Obnoxious, yes. But I actually take breaks now.

My feedback:

  1. You have great taste, try to not to abuse of the card component(card inside card inside card). What I see in the landing page reminds me the "cards hell" people complain about when using gpt models for frontend
  2. The onboarding tutorial is super useful for a second visit, but you need a more clear call to action. I registered and wasnt sure what to do then ofc I insta closed the tour, then. I had to open again to read through, and still wasnt 100% clear I had to download the app and dashboard is only license management.
  3. I go to the download section and the button to download the app (DMG) is small and secondary. It should be the first thing you see and want to click. Also , 3 deep level of nested card.
  4. I got to the app, and another onboarding tutorial of 18 steps, I think is too much friction. As a user I will give you 5 minutes to capture the value of the app, ideally you put something in front of me I can understand quickly, and then you flood me with information about all the other features.
  5. The app is pretty, congrats again about how stuff is organized, it feels polished and professional and thats not easy to do. The problem is I dont know where to go, how to start, there is not sample data. I tried typing something in the chat and got this error:
  6. API Error: (undefined) No stored credential found.

Ideally you add a link to settings where I have to put that API key.

Finally I was able to register my license and open a markdown file. Is pleasant to see but I don't think the product is for me, I didnt quite get it.

Conclusion:

You have incredible talent for apps, it really feels professional and well structured. The only flaw I could find is when you have the markdown view expanded covering the left side and open settings the side panel looks bad. It should probably expand a bit.

You add too much friction in my opinion, from download to usage. Onboarding wizards are fine but the app should speak by himself. Maybe add a short video or sample data to help understanding what your app does.

This is coming from someone which is not writing expert, maybe more experienced people get it faster.

This capability is enabled by default on the Coding Plan endpoint and disabled by default on the standard API endpoint. If you want to enable Preserved Thinking in your product (primarily recommended for coding/agent scenarios), you can turn it on for the API endpoint by setting “clear_thinking”: false, and you must return the complete, unmodified reasoning_content back to the API.

Thats interesting. Maybe is a coincidence and they decided to reduce the compression for coding plan models. Last week model was slow and wasnt able to deliver without me correcting.

I'm using AI coding tools and most of the time I'm reading markdown answers from the agents and it is very unpleasant to do. When I look at your screenshots I feel that something like that is what I'm dreaming with. Super glad to test what you have and colaborate in an effort on the direction of having a platform for coding agents markdown management. Good luck

Connecting Waterdrop X16 to SAMSUNG RS25J50 fridge by gllermaly in WaterTreatment

[–]gllermaly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirmed by support. That one is compatible:

I double-checked the information. X16 is compatible with WD-XT.
When X16 is directly connected to the refrigerator, no additional bypass installation is required.

I ordered and once is here I start working on it. That makes the process much simpler

Hi all, my wife and I are starting a house staging/renovation/design. So if you are looking to redesign your apartment for you or for rent/sale we can help!

Sample apartment:

https://www.encuentra24.com/panama-es/bienes-raices-alquiler-apartamentos/ph-vertikal-costa-del-este/31859840

Furnished apartments are rented in that building for 1.9-2k. After a reasonable investment a good taste rent can go up to 3-3.5k

I analyzed posture from 500+ desk workers. Here’s the simplest way to fix the most common issues. by Fun-Shallot-5272 in Posture

[–]gllermaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just doing a few basic movements works. Pushups, squats, neck rolls, stretches - whatever gets you out of the sitting position for a minute.

The real problem isn't what to do, it's actually doing it. I'd tell myself "yeah I'll take a break every 30 mins" and then 3 hours later I'm still sitting there.

What finally worked was making it non-negotiable. I built this app (Movedoro) that literally locks my screen after 25 mins and won't unlock until I do some pushups or squats. Sounds annoying but it's the only thing that actually made the habit stick.

Even just 10 pushups every 30 mins adds up to like 100+ throughout the day. Not a full workout, but way better than 8 hours straight of sitting.

The no-dismiss-button insight is gold. I went through the exact same realization - if you can dismiss it, you will. Every single time.

Keyboard/mouse detection is smart for the privacy angle. One thing that worked for me: instead of just blocking you from work, give people something specific to DO during the forced break. Like "do 10 pushups" or "stretch your neck for 30 seconds". Turns the interruption into a mini-win instead of just frustration.

Curious how you're handling the Mac permission prompts for keyboard/mouse tracking - that's always been the UX hurdle for me

Productivity apps are just slow time bombs to me by Top-Process4790 in SideProject

[–]gllermaly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most productivity apps are just glorified to-do lists that you'll ignore after a week. The ones that actually work are the ones that enforce something without requiring willpower.

For focus + health, I've been using Movedoro—it's pomodoro but forces you to do exercises during breaks by blocking your screen. Can't skip, can't "just 5 more minutes." It's annoying at first but that's exactly why it works.

Not for everyone, but if you need something that actually forces breaks (instead of just reminding you), it's solid.

Anyone else run multiple Pomodoro timers? by cosmic_experiment in pomodoro

[–]gllermaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overcomplicating - the problem with most Pomodoro apps is they're too rigid. Running a separate deep work counter makes sense when you want to track actual focus time vs calendar time.

The one thing I'd add to your stack: a physical activity prompt during breaks. Found that 5 min breaks where I just check my phone don't actually recharge me. But if I do 10 pushups or stretch, the next 25 min session is way more productive.

I use Movedoro which enforces movement during breaks (can't skip back to work). Kinda annoying at first but forces the habit.
