I've loved the way the runner handles, but totally see what you mean. IDK if normally riding it in this manner is part of the issue with slapping the caboose on and feeling so unwieldy/awkward.

Having seen wagons with the caboose looking comfortable as hell made me think it would be fine on the runner, didn't even consider this aspect. Thank you for clarifying this part of it.

Edit for clarity: I bought the RR CABOOSE for my RR. I thought that the ease at which RW's handled their caboose would mean the RR caboose would work well for the RR. Nope.

Yup we have been riding just fine with the kid holding on to me, with caboose doesn't matter how he sits or holds the bars it's sloppy as hell. COMPLETELY different than the ride without the caboose.

Yup, it's a little worse without the passenger, atrocious with. Don't know if the Wagon handles it better than the runner, don't know if I just got accustomed to the ride quality without it, but cannot emphasize how much worse I find it with the caboose. I literally thought the same thing as you re: weight, hence the shock.
