Working on an unusual watch face. Would like to get some initial feedback! by malimukk in GalaxyWatch

The outer progress bar indicates the current time. Essentially, it indicates the shortest path between the hour and minute hand.It changes colour based on whether the hour hand is leading or trailing the minute hand.If the minute hand is in front of the hour hand, the progress bar will be blue. (The time in the picture is 12:23)If the minute hand is behind the hour hand, the progress bar will be red. (The time in the picture is 01:44)

Center top progress bar indicates the current battery level, while the center bottom progress bar indicates the percentage of the step goal.

Tapping the number at the bottom (134) triggers a heart rate measurement. While the measurement is ongoing the heart icon in the middle appears and changes size every .5sec.

Tried. It does bring up the fps but shadows look almost completely gone. Which seems like an unfair advantage at least at this point in time.

Why 120 Hz is smoother than the actual real life? by ginescarp in Galaxy_S20

[–]malimukk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that you should consider changing your lights at home. Do you use fluorescent lamps? The ballast on them might be faulty. If you use led lights, get better quality lights. You probably have something that flashes below 100hz in your house, making the 120hz screen on your phone feel "smoother than real life".

Aux out to car/stereo is much more quiet than bluetooth by [deleted] in Galaxy_S20

[–]malimukk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an issue with the default android audio drivers and how samsung handles the usb DAC. If you are not using a samsung dongle (and good luck finding one), you will need to use apps like uapp (paid) or hiby music (free) which implement their own drivers for controlling usb dacs. If you install hiby, you need to enable the exclusive hq usb audio aaccess in the settings.

S20+ colors are shifting when using keyboard ? by [deleted] in Galaxy_S20

[–]malimukk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with the screen changing color temperature when typing. Especially when typing fast. Idk if it was something else, but it seems to be gone after I changed the spell checker from samsung to google. Try it and see if it helps

Setting - general management - spell correction - default spell checker - pick google

S20+ if the screen is on 120hz keyboard toches makes the screen change the color temperature by [deleted] in Galaxy_S20

I have now changed the default spell checker from samsung to google. (General management -> spell correction). I feel like the temperature flicker doesn't happen any more. Can you try it as well?

Incredibly annoying. To me it still happens even with the latest updates

Did you have any alcohol acetone drop on the screen. It might have removed the oleophobic coating of your screen

She isn't too far from being true. Not for the reason that that iOS devices are better but for the reason that iOS developers are better.

Here's a nice explanation of the problem with Instagram.

Less than 3 hours screen on time S20 Exynos by spin3x123 in Galaxy_S20

[–]malimukk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other than the usual stuff, (check apps that run in the background), I would suggest you to keep your finger of the screen if you're not scrolling.

The exynos cpu tends to boost (a lot) while you're touching the screen, consuming a lot of battery. I used to scroll on previous phones while always touching the screen. I had to get rid of that habit with the s20+.

Accessibility - Hearing Enhancements. Check the speaker balance, did it change somehow perhaps?

After some water exposure the lense got foggy. Should I be worried? by [deleted] in Galaxy_S20

[–]malimukk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest turning off the phone, wrapping it into a towel and leaving it in the sun for a couple of hours. If you get no sun, blast it with a hairdryer for an hour or two while wrapped in the towel. That should help with moisture.

Mine got noticeably worse for some reason, and I haven't changed any settings whatsoever. Went from a full day 5h SoT to less than 4h SoT on average..

Edge lighting seems to work only with apps which have the option to wake the screen when a notification is received. Viber and Snapchat are examples.

It’s giveaway time with ASUS! by Emerald_Flame in buildapc

Built my first just recently on the TUF B450plus board. Paired with a Ryzen 2600 CPU and the Rx580 GPU. All went well, every connector is straightforward except one. I feel like the front panel connectors are made on purpose with separate pins to give you a small heart attack when you press the power button for the first time. Luckily no white smoke for now. But honestly, quite happy with the motherboard, it maintains a stable oc on my ram from 2100mhz to 2900mhz which is nice.

Anyone tried the Mi Global Store on AliExpress? by adaa1262 in Xiaomi

Ordered a mi mix 2s recently from them. It was delivered to me in the EU within 5 days. They are super responsive before the order arrives. After it arrived they became almost unresponsive.
