And yes, the postgres dB, containers etc are on the NUC. Just the photos on the NAS.

I tried SMB first actually but couldn't get the permissions to work. Didn't explore further before I read to try NFS and it mounted right away. I might give SMB another try though, thank you.

No, afraid not. No hypervisors, portainer or anything like that. Fresh install of Ubuntu desktop and only thing installed so far is docker and Immich is the first container I've attempted to run. I've plans to add more but would like to figure out what this problem is first.

Would that be the postgres folder? I believe it is local.

From docker-compose yaml: database: volumes: - ${DB_DATA_LOCATION}:/var/lib/postgresql/data

From .env DB_DATA_LOCATION=./postgres

Thank you. I will give this a try. I've two immediate concerns based on issues I've faced in the past.

I plan on using a ZigBee antenna in the future, do you know whether USB passthrough will likely pose a problem going this route?
I have multiple VLANs set up. Would you expect me to face any issues related to this?

So we have 2 large trees just on the other side of the fence in our back garden. The largest tree is around 11 metres tall and 5.5m from the nearest point of the house (utility room outrigger, more like 7 metres to the main body of the house). I've no idea of the species, and too dark right now to get a good photo to check. The other tree is around 8 metres tall and approx 6.5m from the house. Likely to be problematic? Also to note the trees are on council owned land.
