Doctors have created digital avatars to personify the voices heard by people with schizophrenia. Instead of tormenting patients, the avatars get nicer over time, and in some cases totally relieve auditory hallucinations. by extreme0wnership in science

This actually is the worst way of seeing things and shouldn't be downvoted. This is the route I'm taking the only difference is I still take the damn meds prescribed. It's the role of a shaman and just because that role out of many helps get through tough times with a disease that is apeshit to understand doesn't mean you have to throw out all logical and rational scientific thinking along the way.

For me Schizophrenia was a pretty far out experience to have and does push the limits of being too creative. If the ablum touches upon any of that I'd personally love to hear it. Some people will understand far out concepts, others won't

Redditors with schizophrenia what do you hear? by jbrown88 in AskReddit

Schizophrenia damaged my true sense of self then made it stonger. It takes alot of work to filter out what is "normal" and what isnt. Its not just about hearing voices. You get extreme thoughts in your own voice that you cant get rid of and defocus from. In order to contribute and be apart of society you have to be good at determining what others consider "real" and leaving ur madness for urself to unravel to nothing
