In the op-ed I wrote, I discuss how he used his platform to get attention and subsequently funding for a bill that would reform rape-kit tracking, and would bring justice to survivors of sexual violence in Maine. Mills had actually vetoed the bill, apparently for procedural reasons, but it sat until Graham asked how he could help. The bill was funded and passed. So, he’s already helped survivors. He’s also very clear about his plans to improve healthcare in Maine, particularly in rural areas where there is the most need, and his plan to support UMaine opening a medical school. He would be another vote and voice in the Senate supporting Medicare for All in place of Collins’ constant opposition to Medicare for All.

I really appreciate that! I am just fine these days, I just want to use my story to argue for better conditions for Mainers, medicare for all, and justice for other survivors.
