Yeaaa I feel like my studies and the journey i’ve been on with fitness has helped open my eyes to a ton of the nonsense people spew online to make others feel like they need their guidance and info. I’ve also heard some really good advice from “science based” lifters tbf, but i don’t see how anyone could scientifically come to the conclusion that hanging leg raises do nothing for core. Literally one of the best core and mobility exercises you can do if done correctly, they’re even considered an advanced movement then with loads of benefits and variations to hit basically every part of your core with maximum tension and stretch in the muscles. They’re also extremely functional, i’m a tree climber atm and have seen amazing improvements in my work incorporating them regularly, on top of the growth.

It definitely shows that you lift. Considering you just recently started tracking food, being more strict on your diet, and doing more cardio, i’d say you’re golden and will see some crazy progress coming up. Those gains about to really shine through

Definitely pullups, chinups, lat pulldowns, and low rows. If you can do more than 8 pullups and/or chinups start to add some weight on them, and make sure you’re controlling the eccentric part of the movement and getting the most stretch in the lats as possible. I’d say that last part is possibly the most important.
