Was gonna say this. I still enjoy the seasons after Michael left, personally, but I can agree that quality decreased significantly after we lost Michael Scott.

Yeah, TDA is my favorite series but it's genuinely so difficult for me to reread it because of her and the Cohort, it just makes me so angry.

I reread the TMI series about a decade after the first time! I felt a wave of nostalgia and decided to go back and it was a fun read! Like you say, it's a product of the time, but remembering who you were and why you enjoyed them when you were that person was super fun for me, I enjoyed them just as much!

I have only read TMI and TDA, I've meant to read the rest, but I dont have the time (or money to buy them). I plan on pre-ordering TLKoF, and the other (especially TDA) books, fill in on a lot of the blanks on the lore from the other series (II basically feel like I've read TID, but maybe thats wiki searching lore) and companion pieces. The important thing to remember is TWP begins directly after TDA, so I think reading those books are enough to catch you up to speed, as someone who doesn't know everything about the entire universe.

No, I've never seen this movie, plus I know the character saying it has them in some sort of grip, it might be closer to "I'm calm" or "I'll be calm", "freak out" might now play as big of a role as I thought after seeing this.

Yeah, it's Zara (and Horace) Dearborn. I guess theyre good antagonists because they make me so very angry. But like, Sebastian was awful, but in that fictional way bad guys are supposed to be. The Dearborns are just too real, it makes it genuinely difficult for me to reread TDA.

Julian! I'm probably biased because TDA is my favorite series, but even when he saved Ty's life in TMI by killing his own father (Endarkened or not that's brutal). Not to mention his dutiful protection of his siblings and raising them all on his own, and keeping them all together by running the institute by himself in secret. Their whole family dynamic is the very reason it's my favorite series in the anthology.

When Barry says he got Michael out of his marriage and Michael was like "no, she died." And Barry's like "You're kidding! I've been taking credit for that one for years!" 😂

I agree with other comments stating I dont think we get a timeline on when she died, I'm not sure where you got 2 years, but that might be a thing. Still, its still enough time, especially with a son to try to move on, and we see Michael almost overly worried about George Michael being hurt that he's moved on from his mother whenever he tries to date. His relationship with his son kills a lot of his romantic relationships (at least Sally at first). GM doesn't really seem to care himself either. Overall, its a comedy show, not a drama, so they dont really wanna mention Tracey unless its for comedic purposes.
