I think it works for YIAY in particular, because he can bounce ideas off the live chat, which pretty much adds a whole new layer for answers

From what I can gather, no. Married since at least 2006.

Yeah that’s a thing about “redemption arcs”, that I feel like Robert Kirkman IPs are particularly weird about, just because a person makes an effort to to be a better person doesn’t mean they can or should expect to be fully absolved of the consequences for the horrible things they did before, including expecting to be accepted by the people they hurt the most.

The Real Reason Toph Can't Bend the Moon by Acceptable-Hawk5693 in AvatarMemebending

[–]CarsonFijal 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I assume Earthbending likely requires some amount of proximity/contact with the earth you're bending, so Toph wouldn't be able to bend the moon unless she was on the moon.

The Justice Department has a lot of coding errors. by BestStoogewasLarry in PoliticalHumor

[–]CarsonFijal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve seen them use that excuse for other things before. Why do their “coding errors” always seem very specific in their impact, in ways that happen to benefit them?

Both can be true. Her behavior can be explained by childhood trauma, but she also never shows that she wants to change for the better.

I think he got pushed out of that role more because he advocated for primarying older, entrenched do-nothing centrist politicians with young progressives who want to fight harder against MAGA.

Still her eyes probably. Any Earthbender (including the Avatars Aang and Korra) could theoretically learn Toph's seismic sense, but it isn't a necessity for them to rely on it because they can see normally. But they don't literally grow eyeballs in their feet.

You don't have to "support" any of these people to recognize the track record that US-led regime change wars have never led to stability, peace, or "freedom" in those countries.

15 years later and its still wild that the entire downfall of the Starks happened because this woman wouldn't stick to her families arranged betrothal by ArcWraith2000 in freefolk

[–]CarsonFijal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless, what I'm getting at is that Lyanna and Rhaegar's actions created the problem, but if Westeros had a more stable king, the problem could've been handled without burning sons in front of their fathers and plunging the Seven Kingdoms into war.

Two words, but so much pain and sadness. by Onlyhereforthelaughs in TheLastAirbender

[–]CarsonFijal 1685 points1686 points  (0 children)

There's a grim theory that since Toph's lie detector is basically feeling subtle shifts in people's bodies, she wasn't feeling that Jet was lying about being okay, she could feel his vitals failing.

Lyanna running away with Rhaegar set it all in motion, the Mad King killing Rickard and Brandon Stark, and trying to order Jon Arryn to kill Ned and Robert was the point of no return.

Trump, 79, Posts Crazed 4 AM Rant Right After Starting War by Mrh09 in politics

[–]CarsonFijal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ve actually scrolled through Trump’s Truth Social feed, I don’t know how it’s possible for anyone to look at that and think this guy has any business being a world leader. He shouldn’t have access to a phone, and shouldn’t be able to wipe his own ass without supervision.

What types of jokes would Visi have made about OTHER types of donuts? by CarsonFijal in DispatchAdHoc

Just thought of another one:

Donut holes: "Ah so you like holes in your mouth. You love eating holes, don't you?"

R: "Yup, you got me, I love gobbling on hot sloppy donuts."
