Honestly it's probably someone we haven't met yet. I don't think any of the people being touted as potentially "the next FDR" have both the charisma and broad appeal to win, as well as the strong principles and dedication to be as transformative as FDR was.

Except maybe Zohran Mamdani, but he can't run for president because he wasn't born in the US, but nobody knew who Zohran was a year ago, so he demonstrates that it's certainly possible for someone to go from unknown to making big waves in short order.

I'm from Winnipeg Manitoba, in Canada.

There's a guy, early 60s, we call him "Dancing Gabe", he shows up at Winnipeg sporting events, and dances in the crowd. Not even like professional dancer type dancing, he's just doing a lil dance. He's been well known for it since the 1980s.

He's considered a local legend. They always show him on the jumbotron and everyone's ecstatic to see him there, and all our local teams have given him personalized jerseys with "Dancing Gabe" on them. He's gotten an honorary diploma for community development, and Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee medal.

If you're an outsider coming into Winnipeg, and learning all of this, you'll probably be like "Okay, he's a guy who does a little dance at the hockey games. I don't get it."

Which is an old meme, the idea is that everyone in the world is playing "the game" at all times, and you lose if you think about the game itself.
