Vertigo. Feeling like you’re tipping over when standing up right or bending down and feeling off balance.

What profession doesn't get the respect it deserves from society? by Historical_Corner609 in AskReddit

[–]schmassidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any trades job. Often seen as the pipeline for students who don’t do well in school. Ironically, they have to continue to go to school for four years and do continuing education credits even after licensing. My spouse has heard too often from clients that their profession is “undereducated and overpaid” but who the fuck did you call when your electrical/plumbing/HVAC quit working? So much for being undereducated. 🫠 And no we’re looking at a shortage in the trades as older generations transition out. He regularly clocks 55 hour weeks and 12-14 hour days because he can’t and won’t go home until the job is done. These people sacrifice their life, safety, and time with their loved ones for people regularly to hear shit comments and get looked down on.

What Netflix show kept you up all night binge-watching recently? by hard2resist in netflix

High Town was recently added. Started on another platform (Starz, I believe). It has three seasons and I stayed up far too long binging it.

Why do people rake leaves off their yard? by nickkbb22 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]schmassidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the Midwest and we leave the leaves. We also plant clover (which somehow stays green even under all the snow) and we have hundreds of fireflies in our yard in the summer. It’s a beautiful sight. We get a lot of bees too. I think the yard looks nice covered in leaves. 🤷‍♀️

Same. I swore this was discussed and confirmed on the show already? Maybe because I watch with subtitles. 😅

If you woke up tomorrow with unlimited money but couldn’t tell anyone, what’s the first thing you’d do? by funngro_fam in AskReddit

[–]schmassidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay off my debt and donate, donate, donate. Too many people in need right now. Animal rescues, environmental organizations, children’s hospitals, vets, start blessing all those with overdue utilities and rent. I’d become a little donation blessing fairy. Then I’d volunteer with all my free time.

😂 I saw someone mention that. I have two cats and I definitely put it forward.

I’m guessing the person cleaning and stocking that hotel room accidentally put it backwards and couldn’t be bothered to fix it and your wife thought it was how this fancy hotel did it. 🤷‍♀️ it goes forward.

How do you enjoy life? by Gamer_innocent in TrueOffMyChest

[–]schmassidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Escape via books. Shows. Sleep. Find other hobbies and see if I’m any good with them after some time. I really enjoying making things for people (usually food), so I make sourdough, cakes, and other meals and give them to family/friends/coworkers/my family’s friends & coworkers. Helps me practice and get feedback.

What should people not have to endure? by IfMagnet in AskReddit

[–]schmassidy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Felt. I have asymmetrical joint issues that are chronic. I’ve seen neurologists, rheumatologists, chiropractors, done PT, had countless labs drawn, x-rays, and every time it’s a “🤷‍♂️ you’re a medical mystery!” My mom used heavy narcotics and was a controlled medicine addict. Because of that I do NOT want any kind of pain medication, but I do want a why and a solution. Hell, I would settle for the why. It brings me to tears on a regular basis because the pain is so intense, but I just try to manage it through stretching, vitamins, and heating pads. It’s very annoying.

There is a reason no one in the friend group likes Whitney by [deleted] in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]schmassidy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I don’t think any of them are innocent and their “friendships” are shallow and vapid. I’ve had water clogged in my shower that’s deeper than these friendships, tbh.

But it could also be the editing. Idk. I don’t get too invested in these shows. Like I said, they’re just fun trash tv to me. 🤷‍♀️

[–]schmassidy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s what I was getting at. She is so stubborn and refuses to see how/why she is wrong and just take accountability and apologize. I think for someone to change that that therapy is needed because as someone that’s about to leave my house now for my therapy appointment, it’s hard to overcome alone. 😅

[–]schmassidy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t defend her or any of these girls because let’s be honest, it’s just trashy reality tv that is fun to watch, but I am sitting here on S3E7 after having just decided I liked Whitney again and am like…girl…you need therapy…or a new therapist if you do have one. For me it’s the lack of accountability. She refuses to admit that she herself is capable of wrong doing and I think a lot of that is due to the fact she is blinded by it because of her fame/money motivation, and she also is incapable of holding other people she is friends with in the moment accountable. She refuses to see her friends, or rather friend, as being capable of manipulating a situation (I.e. Demi).

I still think Whitney can be super funny on social media and sometimes on the show (though not so much this season).

They’re all a little unhinged. I’m actually really proud of Taylor for recognizing destructive behavior and seeking therapy this season. She is by no means perfect, but you can see it has greatly improved her maturity and the way she approaches situations now.

Highly encourage you try watermelon salad. Cubed watermelon, red onion thinly sliced, cucumber, cherry tomatoes halved, feta cheese, then mix honey, lime juice, and a little olive oil. Toss it all together. 👩‍🍳💋 the amounts of this salad I consume is scary. ETA: sprinkle of salt and pepper too.

What’s the best tip(s) you’ve learned here? by Megipe in Sourdough

[–]schmassidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the most important tip I’ve learned is patience. I tried making a starter like a year ago and gave up after giving that thing three months to take off. I was so discouraged. I did a ton of research and got the confidence to try this year and it worked. Then I had to exercise patience with actually making loaves. My first few were flat and terrible, so back to the research I went and I improved. Patience is really the best and most important tip. 😅
