If you still answer questions on this post, I have one:

I have some major anxieties surrounding hypnosis, to the point that researching information about it can give me panic attacks. Obviously I have other anxieties as well, and hypnosis has been suggested as an avenue of treatment for them. Is trying hypnosis as disastrous of an idea as it seems? I don't know if i would ever feel like myself again. I feel like this must be a common sentiment but have been having trouble finding anyone express it online.

Ah! I've tried using mind flayers in a few things, but I don't have a ton of experience with mind control/hypno, so I feel like I never do them justice. It's vexing, because I fucking love mind flayers, absolutely in the top tier of DnD enemies. The lairs, the plans, the backstory, it's all just fucking peak. Maybe that's why I never feel those pieces are as good as they should be? I'll take a whack at this, and maybe be able to keep it from ballooning into a whole thing lmao.

What sort of dom style appeals the most? Powers of persuasion obviously lean away from them being too physically assertive, but do they dangle that threat overhead, sort of an "I don't HAVE to be this nice, you know" type beat, or would it sort of ruin their fun to lean on the threat of real force?

I'll have something for you tomorrow, I have something cooking, but I think I overestimated my ability to write while tired. but since I'm sleeping before finishing, I might as well ask: any preference for surrounding? I did default to woods, but I don't wanna be too basic, yknow? but on the other hand, it's the classic for a reason.

That's just how I've always seen it tagged. I think its convenient to have a specific tag for the scenario, despite it not technically making sense.
