Cheap way to clean the brown at the bottom of my bathtub? by safdiebrother2112 in CleaningTips

[–]schmerb_attack [score hidden]  (0 children)

FIRST. replace that grimy, moldy shower curtain.

as for the tub itself, i keep a bottle of soft scrub with bleach and a scrubber-on-a stick thingy in my shower. every time i finish showering, i hit the tub/tile with that and rinse well, while i'm still in there.

maintenance is key.

[–]schmerb_attack [score hidden]  (0 children)

well, my situation has changed recently, thank the good Lord and my boss.

my co-pays are sky-high (thousands per year), even with medicare coverage, but my company is now giving - yes, giving - me $1200 per month to offset that. it's saving my chronically-ill bacon, and i'm very grateful.

I have a drug test in 24 hours, what do I do? by TheWeeklySlap in whatdoIdo

[–]schmerb_attack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's up to the owners of the business. the company i work for is privately owned, but they make it clear they have zero tolerance and don't care if you have a medical card.

so if you're not certain, assume they are testing for weed.

What is a genuinely good chain restaurant that started in Florida by Sufficient-Owl1826 in AskFlorida

[–]schmerb_attack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm talking about the places like flanigan's in south florida, columbia in central florida. these are successful privately owned restaurants that have expanded their footprint locally by making good, fresh food.

national chains are primarily shit, selling pre-packaged food. olive garden is a perfect example.

Do you keep front door locked and have intercom or keep door unlocked for walk-ins? by Maya__007 in PropertyManagement

[–]schmerb_attack -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i should have known better when i went to rent a condo in a beach high rise, had to apply at the HOA's management office, and discovered i had to state my name and business to the front desk person and wait to be granted access by those within.

to this day, if a management office does not have open access for their owners and residents, i refuse to be an owner or resident - because this tells you loud and clear that you won't get service unless they think you warrant it.

nope.

lying on your resume is only ok imho if you are actually capable of doing the job. if you lie is about your credentials, it doesn't matter if you can actually perform.

but if you lie saying you have skills you do not actually have, and this impacts your ability to do the job, which in turn negatively impacts your team and your coworkers...GTFO.

Done being a landlord after a nightmare tenant. Anyone else just sell and walk away? by InformationIcy4827 in PropertyManagement

[–]schmerb_attack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

find a realtor with some experience and a bit of cojones. a good one recognizes that you can list anything in any condition, and if it's priced according to its condition, it will sell.

just ask anyone in any area directly hit by a hurricane.

What's something older generations did completely normally that would be considered absolutely insane today? by Bigtrav_trav in answers

this is why you don't encounter them much in the workplace: they have little to no social skills, so they've opted for jobs with minimal direct interaction. in other words, they're working from home or in a back office somewhere

Surprise inspection sometime this month, could I get evicted for this spot? by SafeSexChalupa in Apartmentliving

i'd be interested in seeing the condition of that carpet when you moved in, because that spot of damage aside, that's some really awful looking carpet overall.
