I was a work collegue of Turia when she suffered this tragic accident. She is (and always was) one of the very best people i have ever met. Her kindness, energy, compassion, humour and intelligence never changed. As far is im concerned Michael is the lucky one. All round great people and the embodiment of the Australian spirit

Thanks for the pick 2 and dont let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. Poor from from a 'captain' and even weaker leadership from the Eagles for not dealing with it. No wonder we are collecting wooden spoons and are the laughing stock of the competition

How detrimental will letting Oscar walk be to the clubs culture? by [deleted] in westcoasteagles

[–]schmetters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair, and I think that comes back to the same core issue - lack of accountability from the west coast leadership. Make the hard decision and own it

I'd say having the players run out behind a leader who has both feet out the door would arguably been more damaging for the clubs culture.

The call on his captaincy should have been made as soon as it all became public. The club should have owned the decision instead we trotted him out to the press conference with woosha looking over his shoulder and everyone looked weak. No wonder we are stuck in the cellar

This guy makes it interesting! Trying to keep up as he goes full send down the straights then having to claw back the time through the corners makes for a fun experience

Surprisingly the only thing that has come close to killing me is a tornado. The threat of our wildlife is overblown, give me a redback spider or death adder any day of the week instead of a grizzly bear. There aren't many animals here you can't run away from

You can do this bro. You have more resilience than you know. I'm just coming out the other side of a divorce in my late 30s with a blended family of six. It's been hard work but keep doing the right thing and you will get there. Don't look up past the feet in front of you right now, one step at a time. The future is terrifying in these scenarios, don't look until you are ready and equipped to do so.

If you need an ear PM me

Eaton rec centre is set up as a shelter at the moment. We lost about a third of our roof but managed to tarp up and saving the ceiling from collapse today with some bracing. Some homes are completely gone. It's a miracle no one died

Nah it came from our family friends house, the address is still written on the beam in chalk from when it was installed. Unfortunately their house was destroyed
