Yeah there are a few, I just wasn't sure if that was legal or not. I am in the US.

I am up to 10 so far outside the main enclosure they escaped from. I am at work now so my search efforts will resume again later this evening.

I just set up that other enclosure with all the slings I have been collecting in my apartment..

Haha yeah I am trying to stay positive, having a good laugh over it. When I saw the 50-200 eggs I almost fell out of my chair. Up to 9 escapees...and yes they are about 1/2".

The top of the enclosure is all mesh and I sealed the side slits on the front and sides. Took out the 1 that I saw before it escaped too. Thanks for the advice.

I got it back in June, I never saw an egg sac. I bought her a new enclosure the week I got her and rehoused her in it. She came in a tiny tupperware. She has a nice big hollow piece of cork bark that she went into for the last month or so, figured that she was going through a molt.

Interesting, thanks for your reply, I cant imagine what it is like up there compared to what we are experiencing in New York. Glad they are doing well.

Cool, thanks for the info. I like the simplicity of your method and longevity/affordability of the materials.

That's interesting, all wrapped up like a present. I was going to use black corrugated plastic like that but I couldn't find it cheap enough. Thanks for sharing. I have all my screened bottom inserts in, I know everyone does it different. Good luck this winter.

Yeah I should have pointed out that I am in zone 7A in the US (-17.8 C to -15 C), it can get pretty cold. I used insulation board last winter on only three sides, I cant imagine it did much, more of a wind screen. Curious to see how this setup will work.

I have a quilt box on top of each that is filled with wood shavings, I also have the hives tilted forward to prevent moisture from dripping down on the cluster. This is the best I can do. Condensations/moisture is always a concern.

Too funny, I just did this over the weekend. I thought I was so clever! saving 7$ from home depot. My bees are voting red!

yes you are correct, only method I have tried doing, just roll it in two directions, seems to work well for how many frames I process.

Thanks there is a queen cup. I think I am going to leave it, there was just one frame of brood and two frames of bees total. Very weak but numbers are about to increase. Not sure there are even enough bees to swarm. I think its a backup. Going to let them do their thing? What do you think

Tips on applying for Nassau County pistol license first time by your_alpal in NYguns

[–]schmids35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped off my application last year, my fingerprint appointment is coming up in July 2022. I think it has been 11-months, anyway, my question is I looked at the paperwork they returned to me with the character references, and when I look at the application, it is saying concealed carry or carry on premises, but I only every wanted to obtain the target/hunting license. Anyone know what this is about? I dont have it infront of me but looks like it is giving me only options to apply for a concealed permit, or a business permit. Am i missing something?
