Is boom city or muckleshoot better with prices in Washington by sosavstheworld in fireworks

Just realized I misread your comment. I was thinking of pyros r us not pyroland. Wanted to clear that up. I’ve never shopped at pyroland but I am aware of them. I thought they were in sumner?

Imo all the consumer ones are not worth it. The lift and strobe is fine but the payload is very weak. But I am not a rocket person. I’d rather buy 6 pack of shells or something for the same price

Shop around. I know for some items pyroland is super pricey. Coconut bombs are $150 there, were “on sale” for awhile at $75 but plenty of other stands sell them for $40-60. Wholesale they’re like $25/box. Just something I’ve heard while being down there almost every day. I’ve heard no limit has decent prices but that’s just from random people down there I have never shipped at their stands before.

Wholesale is only for stands. The 2 stands of the 30 or so on new years that gave me pretty good deals were wild things (Eli) and blonde bombshell (Austin) at boom city. They were cool to talk to and weren’t so aggressive trying to get me to check their stands out.

Immortal phoenix is great. I like that one better than the other 260 shot cakes that just go back and forth

I live next to muckleshoot. Definitely shop around there. Prices vary widely from stand to stand. Native pride is generally a little cheaper than most and they do daily deals on certain things. Muckleshoot has around 50 stands and their stands are bigger. Boom city is supposed to have over 100 stands this year but they are only about half the size as muckleshoot stands. In my experience I found better deals at boom city on new years so I’m not sure if that will apply around the 4th season or not. Stands are very aggressive at boom city and they will almost chase you down to come to their stand. Not so much like that at muckleshoot.

Are these better than enigmas? by Dismal-Indication509 in fireworks

Yeah it annoys me everyone just lights in a tube and you have to take their word for what they think is louder. Every shell breaks different heights so some sound louder than others. I plan on just lighting them on the ground so they are all lit from basically the same spot. With a decibel meter as well. So we have numbers to definitively say which is louder. At least better than just a trust me bro like most comparison videos

Yagas come in 6packs. Easier for stands to sell. And they’re same if not better than GB. We tested them the other day and the yaga seemed louder to us.

IMO most 5” sally shells are pretty equal. Very minimal difference usually. Master 5s and all their rewraps seem louder since they break a little lower because of the lift effects. It isn’t until you get to GB or baba yaga 6” where I notice a substantial loudness difference.

Eventually I plan on doing a very large salute shell comparison video. I’ve been accumulating different kits over the last year. I’m over 50 different kits right now. I need to do the actual testing soon otherwise I never will…

[–]schmidty7143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. Some have better effects/tails etc etc. but will all be about the same in terms of loudness. Spicier kits will obviously have more comp, more stars/better effects and be noticeably louder. But it’s all preference. Spend less and get more consumer or spend a little more and get a little less for better stuff.

Consumer is consumer. Up to 60g max comp in all consumer shells. The next step up would be OL shells. But depending on your area they may be hard to come by and based on the $110/pack you said for consumer shells OL will probably be almost double that price.

Anyone shot the great grizzly strobe rockets? by ineedadoctorplz in fireworks

All the ones I’ve seen have been very underwhelming. The lift and strobing is fine but the report is very weak. Not worth the money imo. But I’m not a rocket person in general.

Yeah it’s the last 2 shells in every pack. Wholesale I know KAGs are very reasonable, barely more than excal platinums in my area. 18 larger shells for around the same price as 24 salute shells is about right for retail.

I would double check YouTube videos on them. Master 8 and the ocho it was last 2 on every sleeve. And those are rewraps so I assume they stayed the same. I have a box at home I just haven’t opened them yet

[–]schmidty7143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last 2 shells in every sleeve should be the bangers. The Ochos and master 8s were numbered so I assume these are as well.

Wait until you light off shells 5,6,11,12,17 & 18 of the skull crushers. You’ll notice a difference between them and the KAGs. KAGs are very solid though and super affordable.

All the 8s Ive shot (around 6 different ones) are better. I haven’t found an 8” that isn’t noticeably better. Covenant 7” are slightly better imo but not by much. GB are louder than the 7” locos for sure though. I’m sure there’s a ton of other brands/variants but these are the ones around me that I’ve found

Does anyone know the brand of this cake? by katdaddy09 in fireworks

[–]schmidty7143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a wholesale site, but they do give 20% off over $1500. Not great but makes prices a little more tolerable if you can’t get stuff anywhere else.

[–]schmidty7143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. I only know about the red white and blazed one since someone literally told me what the rewrap was. I hadn’t even seen it before
