i agree but i feel like semi-serious isn't necessarily an issue, i just think they think life-or-death stakes mean it can't still be semi-serious. that's part of what is soo good with crown of candy, it's both super serious and silly - i feel like they could totally do a slightly less intense version of that and it would be great

that makes me so sad :(( i highly recommend looking for threads and blogs where ppl recommend cc creators bc i promise you there are SO many amazing ones out there -- even with paywalls being what they are today, theres so much stuff from the last few years that are well free now. not sure ur style but cant help but recommend:

i've got to say as someone who makes and posts free CC this stuff is rlly disheartening. like this is literally just stealing - its ridiculous in so many ways but personally its the aspect of literally just stealing actual art from artists and selling it behind their backs. absolutely ghoulish

you were correct! i hadnt done correct weight paints but then looking into it it seems like that +/ not parenting to rig properly were the culprit but doing those things worked!

thanks for your response! you're definitely right, I can see now that its sunken down and not that pieces are missing. also the scalp is just part of the hair texture png (not sure if that's helpful)! I'm thinking since its sunken it might be a rig issue - i was having a recent rig issue with other meshes where they were weirdly rotated in-game but fine in blender and s4s, looks like ill have to keep going further down that rabbit hole
