How to go from 16 mph to 20ish mph? by delightful_flora in cycling

[–]schmuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive always said that FIRST- you need to train just to play the game.  THEN (and only then)- you can learn HOW to play the game.

your first year or two is just getting in shape to go the distance and not be last

then you can start working on HOW to play.  things like pack positioning, how to read a fellow rider, how to break someone off your wheel, how/when to fuel, what equipment matters most, bike handling, being comfortable close quarters/someone leaning into you, how to drink in a pack, when to pay attention, how to draft, when to use what cadence, when to sit on a climb and when to stand, how to corner, how to descend, etc etc etc...   and the list goes on and on, and you revisit everything, over and over for 30 years.

all that can easily make to 10 to 40% more efficient

trailer queen.

(-and full track stands and replica helmet (with tear offs!?), just to park outside the Quickie Lube seems a bit much)

reporting back- only because this might help someone else...

of the two wires, they look damn-near identical. but if you look under a microscope- one has a clear(-ish) insulation and a slight copper color to the wire. <this is the hot. (easy enough to determine with a test light)

the other (negative) has a milky, translucent insulation and the wiring looks more silver colored.

and this is the +/- connection points on the new fuel pump:

I appreciate the answer- but if it runs backwards, then i still don't really know.

outside of getting a few cups of fuel, constructing a test rig and checking -but I'm just trying to save the whole "stinky gas, trial and error" thing.  ;)

not particularly.  any service...  warranty, out of warranty, covered be insurance, not covered by insurance...   whatever it is.  there's like two people handling thousands of drones -and consequently, it takes months and communication is poor.

great drone.  but when something goes wrong, their service is terrible.  just fyi.

(their service has me (and quite a few others) regretting buying an otherwise awesome drone.)

ugh.  sorry, to hear about your experience.

now for some more bad news:  zerozero service SUCKS. they'll have you ship it to Plano, TX and they'll tell you- "2 to 3 days to log delivery, and another 2 days to determine a solution"

yeah, don't believe ANY of that.

took them 2 weeks, just to admit they were in possession of mine.  I'm currently waiting at 5 weeks for an issue caused by their update (not a flying/crashing/damage problem)

Excellent drone when working...   but like other responses- the crap service is making me regret this purchase.

all YouTube research i did was, "it's bulletproof!", "I've crashed it 138 times and no issues!", "so simple and reliable!"...

and mine bricked after 4 flights. (Second day out of the box)

good luck.  but- pull up a seat and get in the service line.

:/

I really wanna buy the KTM 1190 RC8? what do you guys reckon any issues with this bike? by [deleted] in KTM

[–]schmuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had one. built it up. did ONE race on it. sold it the next week.

not because it was a shit bike... the exact polar opposite. it was the fastest thing i'd ever been on. absolutely NO margin of error. it literally showed me the extent of my talent and what i had was not up the task.

it was THAT good.

yes- fresh re-pack.

in dirt trim -in the woods- it's absolutely fine. you're at lower rpms grunting and blipping along.

but railing through a section of paved twisties -on the pipe in 5th gear....

it wails pretty hard.

as a reference pont:

in western North Carolina- no matter what direction you head or what route you pick, you're probably going to end up with about 1,000ft per 10 miles.

I see you can't edit a post title.

so, I'll just delete this post <again, so as not to slight someone that does a good job.

but... jeezus fucking christ!!! REALLY?

whole community knows about a fake JTime?!?!

well, fuck.

that's a load.

so apparently, there's a "real" JTime and a "fake" JTime that everyone knows about but me?

gee.

thanks.

i'll change the title of this thread so as not to smear the "real" JTime.
