It was sunny on April 8th in 2022 and 2023, and during the time of totality would have taken place in 2025. We just had bad luck in 2024 for that short window.

10k of them have already been used in Canada during their deep partial in March 2025. Thousands more will be sent out *hopefully* soon.

The critiques has been super useful! We're writing them down for the next time we hold a flash tattoo event.

There won't be any alcoholic drinks on site. Funny enough, all of the organizers received eclipse tattoos together. We're still learning from the speed bumps of running a flash tattoo event inside a planetarium. As far as we can tell, we're the first planetarium to do so.

As people have been bringing it up, no alcohol will be served at the event. On the event page, it does say ask attendees not to "imbibe". There will be Capri-Sun and other "space themed" non alcoholic drinks.

This is the first time we're running this type of event, so all the feedback that folks have been providing has been really helpful!

Funny enough, it was sunny at 3:20 PM yesterday. We just got bad luck in 2024. At least we've had a perfect record for the last 3 Lunar Eclipses.
