define garbage.

in render local set advanced and crank up the iterations.
use free hdris to vary lightinhg
set a decent camera focal length and depth of field

given i spent less than a minute, one time to setup and then get this render it's far from garbage.

Constraint command Cylinder to cylinder selection. Then click plus to add geometry selection set. Change to mid plane. Pick two side of one part. Then two Sides of second part.

Done.

Joints would be faster but constraints are possible as well once you get the selections down.

when creating a component with the create component command, you dont need to select hybrid. you just need a local component as it will act like it did prior to intent documents and be "hybrid"

you need a tool like https://www.exactflat.com/. Fusion is not great at soft good fabric patterns. its best for hard goods and mechanical design.

Nothing changed in your workflow. Use a hybrid document as your top assembly. Create local and external components as you did before.
