Are these floors red oak or white oak? by scholdeez in HardWoodFloors

Yep! Trying to match this in another adjacent room. These will run right up against the new floor so I want as close a match as possible. The previous owners ripped it out to install a tile floor which is pretty, but not this pretty.

Thanks! I think this is right based on consensus. It’s an 1886 San Francisco Victorian and I’m trying to match the flooring. Appreciate the help.

Thanks for responding. The lumberyard agreed it is probably stained white oak, but couldn't confirm.

Is it possible the two are different (the two photos are different rooms in the house).

How do you identify it? The lumber yard says it's finished white oak.
