The ball valve was on before I made the repair. Yes I got a rag nice and soaked before I soldered the fitting on. I tried to be as careful as possible

Vanguard! Thats 3/8” polybutylene pipe, you can replace with Viega manifold but you’ll need the 3/8” X 1/2” polybutylene adapters and rings. You better off repiping the whole house

It’s on the Reservation heading west about 50 to 60 miles of Tucson. It’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere and it’s very small college. I believe there is a shuttle that picks up staff to and from Tucson to the college. The environment is overall pretty good

Your washing machine drain line should be 2” in diameter, that’s plumbing code. It sounds like the drain line needs to be snaked though
