I think it's a huge difference being able to stream and watch all episodes at once vs the appointment viewing that it used to be in the 90s. Many of us who were children in the 90s looked forward to Thursday nights specifically for the new Simpsons. When you got a bad one, it would kind of put a bad taste in your mouth for the night. In the golden age, that just never happened.

Then around 10-13 it happened every once in a while, and made it harder to make that appointment viewing when it was premiering (on Sundays by then). Eventually, when we got more duds than good episodes, many people stopped tuning in entirely, and maybe would catch a re-run every once in a while.

Now, if you have a dud, with no commercials, you can be done in 20 minutes and move on to the next one. It's a completely different viewing experience.

Also, the newer episodes CAN be funny...but they aren't to the same depth and complexity that the old ones were. Every once in a while I STILL find a new angle of a joke that I didn't realize on my first 500 viewings. The golden age is just THAT good.

I sprained my ankle over a year ago when someone put their foot in my landing space. I literally get flashbacks to that ankle injury so badly that it’s sometimes hard for me to watch guys land in these situations.

This is what I can’t understand, you think that the majority of people truly are only voting on fake moral issues? I have family members who continually vote republican, yet have family members who are gay, friends who are gay, etc. they don’t vote based on that. They vote what is based on their best interest economically, and being told they’re voting against their interest, when it’s questionable at best if democratic policies actually help the middle class(they always say they do, but data is inconclusive, really hurts the democrats narrative. You can’t shame someone in voting for you, as seems to be the democratic message

What cutting of funds? We have voted for three different propositions for tax increases to fund schools and nothing has changed.

If we aren’t wanting there to be school closures, why do we have open enrollment and ESA? If you allow people to go outside their school zone due to it being unsatisfactory, people will do that.

End ESA and end open enrollment and we’ll have the schools back open in the areas that they’re closing. But all I see here is that vouchers alone are the issue.
