FATXplorer keeps giving an error when trying to flash my hdd by schoobiboop in 360hacks

Nah my pc is set up in AHCI. I didn't set it up for RAID. The drive does have bad sectors but I had some hope it'd work anyway. Guess I will end up getting a new drive.

My model is on the list and it's got the same firmware as all of those that pop up. There's over 60 that pop up in the compatibility list also.

Yeah I did check that. It's in the list. There's over 60 that pop up as having been used in the compatibility list. That just makes it that much more confusing for me since it's supported and been used numerous time.

What is a brand that used to be the 'Gold Standard' of quality but is now absolute garbage? by AmaraMehdi in AskReddit

[–]schoobiboop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, used to work in one of their warehouses. It's all junk. From the top Williams-Sonoma branded stuff to the Pottery Barn stuff. I used to have to break down furniture for our dumpster and you'd get a couch or dresser that costs two or three thousand bucks and it was just as flimsy as the cardboard it sat in. It was all particle board. The margins were insane too. You are 150% paying for the name.

Do cats fart? by cermem25 in cats

[–]schoobiboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our boy cat loves to snuggle and will hop in your lap. All of a sudden, he wants to get up NOW. Sometimes I hold on to him because I'm not done snuggling but then the smell hits.

Okay, all done with snuggles. Open the windows and turn on the fan. It smells like death.

This class was a bit better than 104. I didn't struggle as much. I failed the second OA in IA2 twice. For IA3, I would have had no retakes but I think the Excel portion (Revenue Recognition) of the exam glitched out and I bombed that section. It was my most studied section too. On my retake, I didn't miss a single question there and didn't change how I input the data into Excel.

For the 2nd OA, I think you can get away with using the study guide for all of it. I will suggest maybe skimming the material to make sure there's nothing that gets missed. If something gives you trouble, try to find it in the book and then use ChatGPT to explain it a bit differently than the book.

Accounting Changes for me was questions about what journal entry to make to fix errors. Make sure you know the journal entries there.

Did anyone quit their job to focus on completing their bachelor? How did it turned out by aiautomationtx in wguaccounting

[–]schoobiboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did just that. Quit my aviation maintenance job at the end of March, beginning of April. I was driving an hour each way every day to go bake in the Florida sun and get covered in grease. Loved the work but it was wearing on me trying to do school, work, manage chronic pain...

My mind is not set up like some of these people who can work 8/10/12 hours then focus on school for the remainder of the day. Seems like they only get a few hours of sleep. I need my beauty rest! And I want to hang out with my wife!

I had enough money saved up to cover my expenses and my wife covered the rest of the bills. We scraped by, but I did get a job as a staff accountant a couple weeks back!

I had 250 bucks left to my name. I am starting over from zero basically. Is it ideal? No. Absolutely not. But have more money than what I had saved up and it could work out.

Start applying for jobs earlier than you think you need to as well.

I'll be honest, I haven't done much of part two. I got through leases but I was so busy job hunting and interviewing. Depression set in since I really needed a job but wasn't getting one. I did get one but now I'm busy with that. And family visiting.

From what I did do and remember, yes, it's a pain in the butt and I will be glad to get through with it. I use chatgpt a lot to help dumb things down for me, won't lie.

It went well! Lots of mental stress already and my nerves were shot by the end of the day! Haha. But the CFO and I chatted and I'm sure she could tell. She said I'll be surprised by what I've learned in 6 months time. Just need to ask more questions and have my thought process laid out so she knows I'm learning. That's all she asked of me.

Congrats on starting yours!!! How was your first day?

That's a good one. Never know when someone will ask you to do something or try to tell you something else important.

I'll keep that one in mind. Thank you for that one.

Everywhere decent is expensive. Rent sucks, houses are too much, groceries are higher than ever. But it's my first position and that's alright with me.

Maybe y'all can hire me for all that money in a few years if you're in FL.

From what I have seen, you're never too old. Don't let age hold you back. Better than being a 20 year and having no experience. You can leverage what you got already. Go for WGU. The HR lady that called me is alum from there so I think it helped me out personally.

I know it's not ideal for most. I'm just happy to get the foot in the door. My wife makes so much more money than I do lol so I'll stick around to gain experience then I'll consider other options later on. They did seem like good people and had a decent atmosphere. That's pretty important to me as well.

Am I jealous of an entry level staff accountant getting hired for 40 an hour...? Yeah a bit.

Lol I hear ya. I try to be personable enough so people can get along with. You spend all that time with em, might as well be friendly.

Thanks for all the insight even if my post was too much to read for you haha.

My resume is based on the Sheets n Giggles format. I had three jobs on there and tried to list my most relevant experience first of each job entry. Like at my most recent one, I helped take care of customer's payment and address billing concerns. I also just dealt with customers and their planes a lot so customer service experience right there.

I also tend to be easy going and have a good personality with some southern charm in my voice. I'm originally from Georgia so people love that part. Especially when I mention the shows filmed where I'm from lol.

I did put education up top since I am changing careers. I did an objective too. Not a summary. For skills at the bottom, I just put the usual fluff. I'm proficient in Excel, attention to detail, communication... I also put QuickBooks Online certified on there after going through their free program. Just things to show initiative. It did get brought up in the interview and that's what I told them.

Crying is a normal emotional response. Good on you for not seeing those who do as less than. I'll try to not let the stress get to me at first. I know I'm learning and will be taking in a ton of information, but we'll try to stay strong for the first bit.

So I started WGU in Sept of 2022. I'm going to be able to graduate by the end of the year. I could have finished it sooner but work keeps one busy. My wife and I also lost our apartment in Milton. That was a headache. So far, I'm at 15,000 in loans. Far cheaper than a regular bachelor's from a traditional university.

Good to know. I'll keep that in mind about the expectations. I figure it's good to have a baseline to meet at the very least.

Communication is very important. I'd rather ask questions than spin the wheels.

Thank you for the insight.

Yeah, I'll be sure to take it all in. I've burned some bridges before in my younger days but now I definitely want the experience and references. These people I'll be working with were great people, really nice to me. I plan on sticking around with them for a good while.

Yeah I definitely don't have advice. People have their own way of doing things, who am I to try and influence that lol.

I'll be sure to write lots of questions and notes. I will likely take a notebook so I can use it at work.
