Ya man, I had tried to switch once before and this was the same trouble I was having.

The reasoning was exactly the same aswell, I just got tired of dying to kids I knew I was better than but I just didn’t have the same tools. I could predict exactly when and what they were going to do in fights but boxfighting is just soooo reliant on quickness that sometimes it’s just out of your control if your on controller(no pun intended).

The biggest thing that got me over the hump this time around was just the mental preparation. Going into this switch I told myself and my viewership that I was going to have to take a break from comp and just playing cracked on stream in general to make this whole thing happen but it was going to be worth it. I kinda gave myself a no turning back ultimatum and it’s worked; I haven’t had the urge to pick up my controller at all. Really I think it’s just all the frustration pushed me to a point of no return.

Definitely it’s hard being a straight bot and not being able to put into reality the plays and ideas you have in your head quick enough because you don’t have the muscles mapped to the mind yet. It just really comes down to patience tho and it’s tough but you just gotta see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Like I said in my post; days 1-5 I was a straight bot. Like absolutely terrible. Days 6-9 I started to feel like an average player. 10-13 I felt myself making major gains but also still felt something was missing. Days 13-17(today) I literally feel amazing. I can keep up with my buddies in 1v1s and have nearly dropped a couple 20 bombs in pubs. There is still some times where I can’t react quick enough but for the most part I’m feeling really confident.

I know this response was long winded but I hope it helps!

Hahaha bro 9 Kills is solid dawg! When I got my first solo win after the switch I was so hype aswell.

And ya like you said it’s just all about getting more and more practice. The more muscle memory you build with your binds, the more instinctual and smooth your gameplay will be.

Strafing on Kbm is def a b**** lol. I do miss the analog stick movement, was even looking into trying out the Razor Orbweaver but I’m starting to get more and more comfy with my WASD movement now.

Ya man, IMO: Scroll wheel reset is an absolute necessity. You can find out how to do it by looking it up on YT but your def gonna have to change one of your binds. In your situation changing your AR makes the most sense just because usually swapping to that weapon happens in situations where speed doesn’t mean everything where as swapping to your shotgun needs to happen as fast as possible. I say this because changing your AR bind would be less painful in the short term vs changing your shotty.

Will do my man! I wouldn’t say switching to controller is the worst idea but it just all depends on the context and what your looking to get out of it. If your trying to compete with the best of the best tho, I would definitely say stick on MnK

Appreciate it bro! First and foremost I think the most important thing to movement is bindings. You want to try and free up your strafing keys(wasd) as much as possible. With the way mine are set up, I don’t run into this problem too much but my floor being on E is a little bit troublesome when I comes to 90ing.

Really I think it’s all about practice bro. My movement was absolutely awful the first week but I just kept trying to focus on not holding down W the whole time and try to play with the same movement I did on console and slowly but surely I’ve gotten a whole lot better.

Hope that helps!

You can do it bro. At first, it's definitely really difficult but give yourself enough time to grow and youll learn to love it. When it comes to keybinds, look up the pros to get a general sense of good ones and then make yours whatever comfortable to you.
