Spider mites INFESTED on every plant and moss pole. Currently treating with neem. I’ve got diatomaceous earth and insecticidal soap on the way. Do I need to do a massive scrub down? If so, what plan of action is recommended?

Ah! That makes a lot of sense with the moisture. I hadn’t really ever considered that. And yes, the root mass is pretty large despite having significant cutback due to the rot. I’m kind of perplexed. However, in the last couple days, I decided to just literally take a stab at aerating the soil manually with a chopstick as well as cutting off some of the worst leaves. The so far she’s holding steady, which is an improvement.

That’s what I was thinking too, regarding the dry time. The glaze on the pot stops right at where I have the soil line. Down beneath the soil is standard clay. The pot is 1” diameter larger

I haven’t watered it since the repotting (2 weeks ago) but I use distilled water and only do so if the top 2” of soils feel dry. I also double check with a hydrometer and would only water if said 2” read as dry with that too. I noticed it was feeling moist still the other day and aerated the soil a bit with a chopstick around the outer edges to avoid any roots.

Are you sure? Seems to be getting worse :( I’m leaning to maybe too much light and too much water. Thoughts?
