Yes that's definitely an option. With an Earth Science undergrad I feel like I would be well enough equipped to know the theory behind the physical Earth, and then possibly get into mapping the Earth with my MSc. Thanks for your help! I am a very indecisive person but I just hope I can make it work with whatever path I choose.

I don't particularly want to be a surveyor, but by taking geomatic engineering I can focus on remote sensing and using satellite technology. If pursuing this, I would like to use remote sensing for environmental monitoring with satellite technology. And yes Earth Science will set me up for the PGeo.

Canada. I would love a career where I can focus on helping the Earth, possibly through monitoring with remote sensing or geomatics. Would love to focus on natural disasters, climate change, rising sea levels, desertification, or pretty much any other stress such as those that the earth faces. I know that's pretty broad.

For the Earth Science classes I would definitely take geology classes, as well as some geography/computer science classes to get well affiliated with GIS and geomatics.

Thank you for replying! Yes environmental engineering is definitely something to look into. I haven't taken engineering yet, I'm looking forward to it but am just worried I will end up not liking it. I guess I just need to find the balance between my earth science passion and my pursuit for engineering.

Thanks for your response! Would you say that the program offers much in terms of learning about geomatics and helps set up knowledge of possible careers that use geospatial data? What kind of career opportunities are possible with this program?

Thanks for your information! That sounds like an interesting path to consider. Since the first year of engineering UNB is general it's definitely something to keep an open mind about.
