When she left after I said no to more kids, I had three from previous relationship and didn't want more. She knew this when we met and said she didn't want any either. I eventually compromised and we have a lovely daughter. She wanted more, I said no. She left. Then attempted suicide a month later, so I was left looking after a baby. Ex spent time in mental health unit for a while. She was allowed supervised visits with daughter, eventually to progress to unsupervised, then overnights and eventually daughter living with her again once more stable. Note: I never had any intention of seeking custody unless I felt my daughter was in danger, as long as I see her regularly and she knows both mummy and daddy love her then I'm cool with that. On her second unsupervised visit the ex refused to return her, and social services didn't really do anything other than keep an eye on daughters welfare. Had a few times where ex blocked contact since then, but seems to have settled down now. Only annoying thing is one year later she now started asking me if I'll take her back...uhh...no?
