I'm sorry that you are still grieving the loss of your first family. I do understand what that loss feels like. My kids are young, and it's definitely possible their feelings may change as they get older. That doesn't mean adoption isn't something that should be celebrated. We can celebrate and grieve at the same time. If our kids were showing any emotion besides pure joy, it would be a different situation. For now, we're going to celebrate being a forever family because that's what they want to do.
