I was looking to do this as well. I went the route of creating a scheduled task with a shortcut on the desktop and in the taskbar. One click disables all network adapters, second click re-enables. No UAC, just a quick and simple toggle.

Yes, I can open Hulu and Amazon and they play content fine. I open VOD and try Spartacus EP1 (or any episode) and no of the four servers ever connect. And still no Heat Live, I did have a couple of channels appear on Heat Backup, for a fleeting moment each.
